I think you're going to have issues with copyright with this map. I'm not sure if you're going to be allowed to use the Disney names for attractions and there is no way you'll be allowed to use the Disney name. So you'll just end up with a random park with lots of random names.

Hey, you could have the first theme park map. But scrap the Disney idea...

I would suggest drawing something on paper so you have an idea of what you want before you start using photoshop. It's easier to design on paper than on photoshop. Get an idea of what you want to see, bonuses for different rides? Combo bonuses for something?

If you could play a theme park map, what would you like to see?

It doesn't have to be perfect or accurate drawing, just note down what you would like to see. Trust me, this will save you a whole heap of time in the long run and make tinkering with photoshop much much easier.

Have a play with photoshop, dont start trying to draw a map. Just practise creating a banner. Set out your banner size and just add stuff to it. Google things and see what you can come up with. Play with different effects, see what looks good and what doesn't. Eventually you'll pick up a few tricks and that will get you started.

I started off by looking through youtube for some ideas and found a couple of neat tutorials. Google is your friend!
