I think you are partially right, because MacOSX and Linux do have better security by design, in my opinion. My PC is Windows 2000, if I were to replace it I'd try a Mac

The CC server is Linux. Here are some stats about our visitors, based on hits:

OS
Windows 92.7 %
Macintosh 5.3 %
Linux 0.6 %

Browser
MS Internet Explorer 56 %
Firefox 38.2 %
Safari 2.4 %
Opera 1.3 %

OK...this should end the argument.

What PC Users can do that MAC Users can't.

The new MAC commercial says it all.

i have tried all three of the major systems and uh lets see

Mac: Specialized Os with counter-intuitive organization, this is mainly because the mac is oragnized around graphics design.

Rating for the average Joe: 4.5 Rating for the average Techie: 7.9
Rating for the average Artieeeeeest: 10.0

Linux: Fully customizeable Os designed for the person who cant remember that the sun is yellow and shiny as well a large collection of hydrogen gases that rains down carsogenic radiation on earth...........

Rating for the average Joe 0.39 Rating for the techie: 10.9
Rating for the Graphics Artieeeeeeeeest: 6.4

PC: A massive coordinated Os which is constantly evolving inorder to suit a diverse and exspancive customer base. Windows in particlurlar serves: businesses, gamers, homeowners, children, etc. With this diversity Windows could not possibly hope to fully satisfy everyone but it does serve to indoctrinate novices into a rapidly advancing technological field of interest.

Rating for the average Joe: 8.9 Rating for the Techie: 8.9
Rating for the Artieeeeeest: 8.9 but percieved 1.0

Ratings are based on user compataiblity not usage stats. Basically if you want to specialize in graphics or u actually are going to use such apple programs then have at the mac. for those of u who like ultimate custom jobs that only a advanced techie knows how to do effiecently then hail the linux. but for the rest of the population pc works just fine.

Mac and Linux: Specialized usage.
PC: Universal usage

Simple

A comparable mac would cost 1500 to 2000 dollars.

mac just has less of them

You mean like antivirus, a one-click mouse, and the ultimate time wasting garage band?

Are you saying that you want antivirus? Macs don't get viruses so you don't need spyware and all that shit that you are forced to install.

Macs can still get viruses. However, there aren't as many. I can't remember as to why though. Perhaps part of the reason is due to the fact that Macs have a smaller user base then Windows.

i do know why, when you are on a pc, you can easely get trough all things with only typing in a map where the ://Z (or something) stands
with mac you can't you can't go in the main system with that, you can't typ where you want to go, if you want to go there, go there normally, or use the search button, and so that was only the thing if you already are logged in, but remember the black windows screen with all those codes on old windows computers, where you can format your computer etc. you can just typ commands, you can't do that with a mac, you need to put in a cd for formatting, so hackers have a programm that makes them go to a sort of black screen where they can typ commands and try to acces your pc with that, or look trough your pass etc. if you try that with mac, and you typ a comment, you come to the begin area again
