Will cigarette makers grow and sell pot.

I would think it would be against company policy to sell something not guaranteed to kill people.

They spent so much money erecting propaganda that marijuana was bad for you and actually bought doctors to tell you that tobacco was safe and healthy to smoke...they wouldn't DARE get into the marijuana cigarette business. I expect nobody will, as you are allowed to grow your own plants under state law.

The marijuana business will remain more-or-less the same (except the threat of being arrested for possession will be less or nonexistent).

I would rather that cigarette companies leave marijuana ALONE! If they get involved they will start doing the same crap they did with tobacco. Adding shit to make you addicted to it.

I like marijuana because if I don't smoke it...I don't care! LOL! The addiction level isn't as high as with other drugs. That's just my opinion.

You would do well to have your own homegrown anyway that way you can grow strands you prefer

The US gov holds the patent for marijuana:

US Patent 6630507 titled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” which is assigned to The United States of America, as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Any sales of weed will be through license by them; I believe I have a good a chance as any citizen.

No doubt big processors will come into play as soon as it is truly legalized... Suspect the tobacco sellers may see it as competition more than anything else, though.

Pot grows really well anywhere tobacco can be planted, so it's a perfect match with an industry already in the position to get it done.

Except... hydroponic and other specialty greenhouse situations have already grown unbelievably resin enriched strains for research, so I doubt there will be acres of cannabis planted across the tobacco belt.
