The History of the Tea Party

Postby pimpdave on Mon Jan 14, 2013 3:56 pm

Hey guys, I've been asked by a major history text book publishing company to provide the section about the Tea Party. Since I value your opinions so much, could you please read it and share your thoughts? This will be read by pretty much every middle school age child in America, so it's important that I influence them as much as possible before they stop being in such formative years.

The History of the Tea Party
By Professor David Hosblott

The Tea Party is a violent, racist organization founded by this man:

The Tea Party, as you can see from the above picture, is so stupid they can't even spell their awful racism correctly! The Tea Party's favorite activities include: abusing and humiliating people with Parkinson's Disease, stomping on defenseless women's heads, and massacring law abiding legal immigrants.

The Tea Party began because racists were terrified of having a half-black President. They call themselves a grassroots movement, but anything they've done politically has been just to serve the wealthiest 1% of the population. Everything else has just been driven by racism.

This is just my rough draft. Any comments you have about it will really help. Remember guys, let's try to use constructive criticism!

Do you have an actual opinion on the Tea Party or do you want to see if you can bait enough to warrant a ban?

Dude, it is a sad day when people go around maligning others for their own sadistic pleasure. Does it turn you on? Do you hope to be educated? Do you feel threatened by opposing opinions? Did they personal attack you?

You shouldn't answer a question with a question.

What's the baiting? I am merely asking for constructive criticism.

pimpdave is there any room to include other important facts like that the Tea Party is funded by the Koch brothers? Or that the states that have the most Tea Party representatives are all former members of the Confederacy? Kids would want to know that, I think.

If you really want to do the history of the tea party you need to go back to the famous Rick Santelli rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and dove tail it with the parallel rise of Glen Beck's 912 movement. Don't forget to put in the really silly movement to flood the capital with tea bags.

I remember the early days of the movement. Our local town Republican Committee Chairman wanted to do something but he didn't want it to be seen as a "Republican" thing. He formed his own organization and got a permit. The 912 movement also got a permit on the other side of the town parking lot. We ceremonially dumped tea bags into a large tea cup because loose tea or tea in the river would have upset the environmentalists.

Yes, here I was at the event ...

Those are good ideas Juan, thanks. I'll have a new draft soon.
