Happy Darwin Day

Postby AndyDufresne on Tue Feb 12, 2013 1:22 pm

Since he is such a big topic of conversation in the Off Topics, it only makes sense to add another topic about him. It is Charles Darwin's birthday---204 years old! Official Website

Full News Coverage.

You can celebrate by checking out...a Graphic Novel, which makes me chuckle. Everything is becoming a graphic novel.

Darwin is dead, it would be his birthday if he was born.

Clearly, Abe Lincoln had the greater impact by abolishing slavery, except not everywhere in the world, and not really considering the high proportion of blacks in prison, and the rampant sexual slavery in North America. However, he did make a good shooting gallery target.

If Darwin wasn't around, Wallace would have come up with a similar theory. That's the great thing about us evolutionary. If you knock one of us down, we have a whole cadre to back them up.

You might even say this day has been "evolving."
