It's whatever. Politics are interesting and it'd be nice to cut it out to some extent, but having a separate forum specifically for American politics subtly endorses these discussions and can unnecessarily alienate non-U.S. customers. From a business perspective, I don't see the benefits; at least not to the extent that they outweigh the potential cons.

Sounds like you are in favour of ballot issues, such as those found in California.

You're starting to sound pretty republican Max. What next TEA party slogans? You wacky neocons what will you think of next.

Foreign influences have stacked the polls. The answer remains, "No."

You hardly contribute here anyway. And your 'contribution' has only encouraged slight division within our beloved community.

Fulfilling your goal will cause unnecessary conflict between the mods and our self-governing sphere--while bringing practically zero benefits. The main reason why you promote this is because you are too lazy find it too costly to easily ignore political threads. Instead, you try to rent-seek through the political process which is disgraceful.

Forget your survey. This isn't a tyranny of the majority. This is a self-ruling community of intelligent (enough) cyber entities.

This is still probably the worst idea ever conceived for this site. I'm having trouble really putting into words how terrible this idea is, and how ashamed those who put it forward should feel.
