Government buying ads to promote nonexisting job program

Postby Baron Von PWN on Mon May 20, 2013 6:34 am

Don't worry though guys, this government is made up of sound economic managers! Not like those other political parties.

This is basically the conservatives buying political advertising on the taxpayer's dime.

Added onto the senate scandals this advertisement for non-existant programs really takes the cake. That Harper will almost certainly stand at a podium and claim to be a sound manager after this is the saddest joke there is.

With all the news I see coming out of Canada, I'm convinced that no one actually voted for the Conservative Party.

We have three or more parties running for each seat. The vote ends up being split, and because of that the conservatives won a majority of seats with about 35% of the populist vote.

Sad thing is people actually did. They fell for Harper's BS, but now things are starting to stink. I think it will be a very interesting election in a couple years. Unfortunately this is so far from the election many might forget about it.

I think a big contributing factor was the weakness of the liberals and the relative strength of the ndp in the last election. The libs shed tons of votes to the left and right and the conservatives were the big winners in the situation.

I think the polls showed that in many of the riddings the conservatives won they didin't increase their votes share that much, it was mostly that the votes that had gone liberal last time were now evenly split with the ndp.
