I watched this live (well, live on the teevee). At first I thought she was trying to get the crowd to sing it (as the local guy does with a verse of the Canadian anthem), and I thought, "how many people in Saskatoon does she expect to sing the American anthem?" Then I realized that she had actually just forgotten the words.

Poor girl... but man did we laugh.

I cant blame her, the U.S. anthem is not very musical and I always mute it when I hear yet another singer struggle to sing it.,America The beautiful, would have been a better choice.
