In the original canon there were a plethora of alternate earths and at least one alternate universe (the "mirror" universe there the Federation was an empire and Spock had a goatee) so the notion that there could be an alternate universe (only with more suck) doesn't go totally against canon.

You aren t allowed to put your hair in the water, so how could a head scarf be authorized for swimming? Mostly when wearing a rubber hat that meets their religious standards of hiding their hair.
