I was gonna say a similar joke but it looks like you beat me to the punch. Maybe I can still get in a right hook.

I'm kind of hoping that it was just a case where the man had taken a severe shoulder wound (that maybe got infected) and the doctor saved his life by successfully amputating the arm and subsequently stopping the resultant bleeding. If that's the case he might of kept the arm to remind himself how he had saved the guy's life but it's still rather creepy.

Only stolen virginity. That one goes out to all my people with one arm. Put your hands together. Come over here and give me a hug.

if it's a true story i don't really get it.... what do you guys understand? this viet guy was an injured vietcong, taken to a US hospital as a prisoner and amputated?
Or maybe he was just a civilian... Things look pretty friendly, I doubt he was a vietcong...

Do you have any body parts? If yes, are the parts from living people?

According to the article I found, he was a Vietcong who was shot in the arm. The doctor (Who was apparently flown into Vietnam) amputated the arm in order to save the man's life and then proceeded to help at the U.S. Army medical facilities for the rest of the war.
