In 1991 Romania had $0 in external debt. Today, after three decades of the NED and IRI's efforts to "provide capacity building tools to civil society organizations," it is saddled with crippling, crushing debt, rampant poverty, and mass unemployment.

You are confusing correlation and causation. NED programs worldwide may be a 10 billion dollar waste, but I need to be shown how training journalists, judges and members of parliament in the various media, legal and parliamentary systems of the world results in a country's debt. I also fail to see how giving grant money to civic society organizations causes that either.

It is true that basic human rights and most importantly, education, lead to more democracy than the NED ever could, but that isn't a maniacal plan. Nobody in that organization or above wakes up and says "how can I f*ck over Rumania today?"

There isn't a cabinet minister or senior editor in eastern europe today who did not participate in a U.S. training program from 1991 to 1995. Programs like the NED and IRI sponsor aren't about how to splice two MP3s together, or properly narrate your radio reader. They are training built around a theoretical framework based on the Idealist perspective and its Neo-Conservative (for the IRI) and Neo-Liberal (for the NED) prongs, and the individuals who participate in these programs are offered opportunities for personal enrichment that assures a nation's key policy influencers participate (see the C.V. of Mike Saakashvili or a thousand others) and voluntarily self-integrate into the Wilsonian global system over which the U.S. presides as emperor and executioner.

This ideology reinforces and buttresses the cultural hegemony of the prevailing, Americentric worldview and is the means by which U.S. business co-opts and conquers new markets without wasting money on Tomahawks, which are reserved for nations in which the NED and IRI fail in their USG-funded objectives.

Non Government Organizations are mainly for money laundering, western investment for shifting public opinion. At least they are used that way in my country. 2/3 of the projects they are invested in are pointless throwing of money in my eyes.

But West is west... it likes to tell others what to do :D

first i dont aware that Goran are Russian, and i think that Russians dont live in MAcedonia.

but Macedonia have other problem and this come from west.

see 2001 year

Goranz has been defending Russia as if he is Russian. I have nothing against Russians. I believe the people got a raw deal just like Dukasaur said. Many of the people on the edge of power profited at the expense of the people. The Russian economy would probably be showing even greater growth had the transitions been made in a fair manner for all the citizens.

You are quite wrong...
1. I support what I think is correct, and in this case Russia's side is correct.
2. I'm no Russian.
3. There are more Russians in Canada then there are in Macedonia by any measurements. No worries I will not support Russia if Russians in Canada start protesting ;) Although if other Canadians are as you, Russians will not have absolutely no problems annexing Canada :D
4. If you didn't had anything against Russians you would have not supported nationalist regime in Kiev.
5. Legal government of Ukraine was removed from power by external influence... I didn't supported that.
6. Legal government of Ukraine used police forces without weapos to calm the unrest in Kiev, current illegal government is using military force. I can not support unequal use of power.
7. West is usually blood thirsty... I'm against that.

Happy now?

Why do you think I supported the removal of the elected government of Ukraine? However, I didn't support the shooting of peaceful protestors either.

You really don't know anything about me. You have me completely wrong.

I too am against bloodshed.

this its interesting thing,, shooting peacefully protestors in Kiev. Now when they seize power in force, this case become quite silence, nothing in BBC-CNN-Washington Post-The New York Times.
I wonder what stop them now to investigate who are exactly shot protesters?
Even Obama-Camerone-Hollande-Merkel are quite silence, and dont want to press Kiev to find who are responsible for this killing.
Maybe Finnish conversation are true? Maybe Kiev new regime are responsible for this, and now nobody from west want to be this in news?
