I would get a microchip in my brain if...

Postby DaGip on Wed Jun 25, 2014 8:03 pm

I could play BlackJack and walk away a millionaire in less than 24 hrs. Basically, the microchip would take a snapshot of the starting deck and then remember each position in the deck. Then as the game progressed the computer would just keep track of each position of each card; therefor increasing your odds of winning. That would be awesome (but the Native Americans would be PISSED!)

That would be illegal as hell.

Man, microchips in the brain. On the one hand, you'd have the internet at a thought, along with every program imaginable. Education would be completely revolutionized. On the other hand, you'd be tracked wherever you went, and conceivably, someone could hack a kill switch to fry someone's chip and possibly the person's brain, too.

Im pretty sure the US government is already chipping soldiers. It to modify behavior from PTSD. So it will be to control your behavior, not for enjoyment. The government is also looking into a program similar to the Matrix movie, plug you in and download information. There is another program to implant a chip into your brain to help retrieve memories or delete memories.

I think a pretty good example is in Peter F. Hamilton's "Night's Dawn" trilogy. The Adamists (regular humans) have various nano-tech enhancements, including computer-like neural operations that interface with outside tech, run programs that enhance or control bodily functions or store memory files, etc. Pretty cool.

Didn't some computer science guy already have a digital interface implanted in his brain, about five years ago?

They limit the amount of games you can play , why not limit the amount of posts too. 8-)

Of course, I would gladly get chipped if it meant the destruction of overly annoying emoticons! :?

perhaps this is just a paranoid delusion but buyer beware. I was in the semi-conductor business for a number of years. I am not in it today because the industry went lead free (PB) , Military and Aerospace are the exceptions. A consolidation of an industry not to many heard of, Following Europe. So, There are chips that are literally paper thin, with no magnetic properties. I do believe ( thank god i have my children already ) when children are born these chips will be inserted for tracking and other purposes . Perhaps in the hand , where an abundance of natural "lines" exist , representing the mark of the beast. They do take your child after birth , why ? Really , why ? If the baby isn`t dead , I can wash the amniotic fluid off, so, why i ask you . They can monitor all systems without the baby leaving my presence. For all you entrepreneurs out there , Child birth from the safety of your home :-s I am sure i`m not the only one who thinks this way. 8-)
