Why is the West so silent on the recapture of Palmyra?

Postby GoranZ on Tue Mar 29, 2016 5:45 pm

Why is the West so silent on the recapture of Palmyra from the clutches of Isis?

Probably the answer lies in the end of the article...
Aren't the West supposed to be destroying Isis? Forget it. That's Putin's job. And Assad's.

During the operation for liberation of Palmyra the Russians lost an officer who was killed on intelligence mission.

The west has been pretty silent on Syria ever since Putin and Obama struck a deal.

Congratulations on the recapture of Palmyra. A tough fight, from all accounts.

It's quiet in the US because the debacle is too hard to face. CIA backed rebels have been fighting Pentagon backed rebels. Full Metal Retard is the best way to describe the US efforts in Syria...

Pentagon played much better... CIA backed terrorists give the weapons to Al-Nusra Front(Al Qaeda group), so they are not part of the peace process, but they are still supplied by Turkey and the gulf states.

I presume western politicians dont want to add any more weight to the Russian achievement on the Palmyra front, but they(especially French) could have done much more for the liberation. And that would have been the correct answer to the terrorists.

I already recaptured Palymyra:

A grammarian lost his balance and fell off his donkey
and, it was said, lost the gift of grammar too.
From that day on he lived an ordinary life as a private man,
without understanding anything he once had taught.
But with Assad it was the exact opposite:
he knew little of our spoken language
and even less of grammar, but by riding Libyan donkeys
and repeatedly falling off them, he became a grammarian.

Not possible. Nobody plays Rome 2. The game is a total disappointment.
