The FBI got access from that phone with the help of hackers. Now the FBI and CIA can eavesdrop on all of us again. Boy, do I feel safe now!
Apple will improve the security of their phones and make billions more! Thank GOD! for that, heh?

this is just trolling.

Unless you're arguing that Apple should've cooperated in the name of "security."

The irony is now Apple wants FBI to tell THEM who hacked and how, screw Apple

And besides, any weakness in iOS would be a liability to Apple, they're perfectly reasonable to request such information. Remember when Sony had their shit hacked? Cost 'em a pretty penny.
Don't get me wrong, there are other reasons to hate Apple, this particular instance simply ain't one of 'em.

Case to trial? The two shooters are dead, I doubt they'll get tried. If any accomplices are found through the phone the FBI isn't going to have to tell how they did it. Hell, they won't even mention the phone, they'll just have watch the accomplices and find some other probable cause to pin on them.
<shrugs>
The FBI ain't gonna reveal shit on how they did it. Hell, they can just slap a "national security" tag on the process and that's that, no court in the world is going to be able to compel them to disclose anything about it.

Next phase is they will say its in the interest of national security not to reveal any info, Apple had their chance to help figure it out, they blew it,screw Apple

I haven't really followed the whole thing. I try to avoid the news. I just saw when Apple had denied FBI access. Anyway, all hail the steady erosion of law and process.jgordon wrote:Pay attention T G the FBI was ahead of them on this, that's why they dropped the case with Apple

Again, your post makes no sense to me. If the FBI were ahead of the case, why'd they petition Apple in the first place? And how did the FBI drop the case?
You seem to be ignoring my first post. Who gives a shit about the shooters? If Apple bends over for the Feds at their beck and call, it's pretty bad. Would you give a key to your house for the Feds to hold on to because they may want to search it later? No, you demand a warrant. Sure, they'll probably bust your door down and shoot your dog, regardless, but it's the principle of the matter.
Pretty much from what I've gathered is you're a support of the Patriot Act and its successor. Because f*ck law and rights.

Dude the lesson is your privacy is an illusion, and has been for a very long time even before the patriot act wake up and see the obvious, when the gov't wants info its at their fingertips how do you think they miraculously find certain criminals or terrorists, if you think someone is ratting each of them out your wrong, example nothing happens for years with these guys then suddenly election year rolls around and Osama bin laden found but killed, nothing again for years here comes the election the number two finance man for Isis found and killed, guaranteed if republicans look like they are going to win, some other Isis head honcho will be killed in a blast that leaves no evidence of his remains

That isn't news, and doesn't detract from my point. Apple should tell the FBI where to stick it, just like a woman about to get raped should fight back. Sure, it's most likely that bad shit's gonna happen, but there must be at least some attempt at process. It's one thing to be a realist or pragmatist, it's another to be a pushover.
