I've been on the fence but I think I would also like to hear a story about tacos.

in the meantime this is a story that is taco adjacent.

My now wife then gf thought a good way for our parents to meet each other would be at a comedy show. They live about 4 hours from each other and there is a larger city about 2 hours way from each of them. My wife noticed that a comedian she recognized from back in the day on the Redneck comedy tour was playing at a larger venue (not a comedy club, more like 1000+ seat venue).

So anyway, we all get there and all sitting down and before the show starts they exchange pleasantries and start to talk a bit and then the show starts and Ron White comes on stage wobbling like crazy because he was so drunk, and opens with telling the audience that after the show we should head down to the beverly hill's four seasons for the 'baby duck pussy lip taco' special. He then manages a solid 7-10 minute set built entirely around baby duck pussy lip tacos and how the chef at four seasons went down to Saudi Arabia where they have been cutting the pussy lips of baby ducks and just throwing the meat away, and how wasteful that was and how his first thought was 'tacos!'. While the set was funny, i took a peek over at my folks who were not laughing and looked more than a little shocked and upset. Then i looked over at her folks are her Dad and he was in tears and falling out of his chair from laughing so hard. That's pretty much it, the folks still all get along but it became clear pretty quickly that they come from different worlds.

Recommendations? Things and places to avoid? Meet for a beer?

Old Town is great to just hang around and visit. I also enjoyed going to Shakespeare Pub when I was there.
