I was pondering which contributors in off-topic I am most careful arguing against and I came up with this short list:

BBS- He knows too much. It's like arguing with my dad.

saxitoxin- His wit gives him such a huge buffer it's not even fair.

Fruitcake- He's old as the hills and therefore to me rather intimidating in his wisdom. I think he may have known Jesus personally.

Andy- Everything just rolls off him, it's like fighting one of those inflatable punching bag things so you end up just looking like a stuttering prick.

I'm sure I'll remember more as time goes by.


So my question to you all is this: Who are your personal most worthy opponents and why?

I would not want to have an argument with Doc_Brown, BBS, or saxitoxin. All three of them are knowledgeable and Saxi brings the added element of panache (no offense to the other two). Luckily, I don't get into arguments with them much.

Symmetry, Natty, and Mets are fun! Symmtery is becoming less fun lately, but whatever, that's his new thing.

I feel like Andy could contribute a lot if he tried more. Same with AoG, Haggis, pimpdave, some others.

I think I get most annoyed by Phatscotty, for obvious reasons. I also get annoyed by Woodruff when he loses it.

And Player is just right out. If she could harness her organizational skills, she'd be dangrerous.

I swear this guy started taking ginko biloba or something as I left cc like a year ago and somewhere in between he's become quite the solid thinker. I used to feel like he was more or less average but nowadays I don't think I would want to mess with him. Nah, what am I talking about, why deprive myself?
