You've got a great point here. When in college I played 3 years (1 on LSU's "B" side 2 playing for the Vet School's club) and I had an absolutely great time and was in the best shape of my life. You ran your ass off and had to take (and deliver) quite a few hits. The most foolish thing I ever did, though, was enter a "7s" Tournament - 7 per side, two 7 minute halves, same size field. Those were the longest 14 minutes of my life.

I especially liked the social aspect of the game. The home team always threw a keg party and I cannot remember one fight on the field in the 3 years I played. For the most part, for such a physical game, everyone was civil and we even had to address the official as "sir" when speaking to him.

In that case the dart championships are world events, as is the 6 nations, lions tour, snooker championships at the crucible, the ashes and pretty much any event which is of medium size.

Even if there are more people that like Soccer than dislike it, a poll on this site wouldn't reflect it, because most of this sites users are American, and think the stupid pansy sport sucks. To whomever said that 6 Billion people like soccer. I should mention that the entire World population is Six billion. Half that is poor, and starving, and don't give a shit about any sport. That leaves 3 Billion. Throw out the US, that leaves 2.7 Billion. And to be favorable, let's say Half of what is left prefers Soccer, and Half is favorable, because little kids, and sports hating women, and Sports hating men would easily make up half of what's left, that leaves about 1.4 Billion or so people who like Soccer abouve all other sports. A far cry below 6 billion. Out of that 1.4 Billion, maybe half that is CRAZY about the sport, so maybe 700 Million people absolutely love soccer. Also, this thread was never meant to put Football in competition with Soccer. Americans know that on a worldwide level there are more people who like soccer more than football, alot more, but we don't give a shit. The United States is the greatest country in the world despite our stupid warmonger president (we hate his guts as much as the rest of the world). What goes on outside this country doesn't mean crap to us. We win more medals at the olympics, have more sports leagues than anyone else, more rights, and freedoms (with the exception of Amsterdam, lol). People risk thier lives and freedom trying to get here. We rescued Europes butts during World War II, and don't you deny it. Hitler was 2 weeks away from the Atomic Bomb when the US invaded Berlin in 1943. Europe, and the world would of been fucked had this happened. Lmao Jamie, you really do talk a lot of shit. USA isn the greatest nation on Earth, its the strongest, theres a big difference. Also, what a fcking crap method of working out the number of football fans. At every step you just put in your own prediction without any real backup, research or proof. At least half, if not closer to 2/3 of Europes population follows football, which is about 500million in itself. Add in the fact that football is the national sport of almost, if not all African countries, and is played very widely there because there are relatively few rich people so kids play football on the streets of the city. Same story in South America, and in the Brazilian slums. Football is also popular in Asia(which has the world largest population). Also, the World Cup final was watched by 2.1 billion people(33% of the world population roughly), so theres at least 3 times as many football fans in the world as you predicted, remembering that not everyone has access to a television. Also, the world population is 6.5 billion, not 6 billion, quite a big difference.

Also, people risk their lives and freedom moving to all of the Western world. Immigration and asylum seekers do not only go to USA, they come to all of western Europe as well, so open your eyes and see the real world, not the world the American Department of Propaganda want you to see.

Everyone knows Hitler was really defeated by Glorious Mother Russia. West countries did like 30% (or less) of the job. Plus, USA were saved. USA economy was pathetic after 1929 crisis and the war (plus european reconstruction) put it to move again. Im sure you are a dominant country now just because this war wasnt fought in american territory.

Then USA saved world from comunism, right? Killing tons of people in El Salvador, Vietnam, Cambodia and many other countries... And now are still saving people, like in Afghanistan and Iraq? USA are a rich country, of course, but because you have military strength and bad etics enough to defend your economic interests. Like Iraq invasion (based on false evidences or Iraq weapons) and the internal protection, for example, against Brazilian orange juice (because your orange producers cant compete with ours without protection), based in false sanitary patterns.

So, I agree about USA being richest, stronggest, but also the most tiranic fucker country. And also stupid enough to sacrifice the planet instead of your economy.

About liking this American Handball, is just one more thing to be different from all other countries, huh? Is there any reason to use Farenheit, inches, feet, yards, pounds, etc, while most countries use Celsius, metters and Kg?
