Now I'm curious what a $100 bet on the Jaguars to win
would pay, if such a Florida fluke were possible.

I may actually flip my Panther/Vikings pick before Sunday as both those teams are huge underachievers. Last week I flipped my Buffalo/Cleveland pick, but the CC Time Machine flipped out after and I'm not sure I want to risk making that occur again.

I'll take the win, but I'm hardly impressed considering the competition. People have been speculating for years how much longer it would be before age caught up to the Bears defense, and it is looking like it finally happened. If our offense wasn't playing so much better than the last few years we wouldn't be 4-2.

Finding another Brian Urlacher is no simple task, the Ravens defense is no longer the Beast in the East either, but the Bears D still gets it done. I didn't see the game but noticed Eli Manning gave up three interceptions; including a pick 6 and another to end a drive in Chicago territory in the final 2 minutes to seal a 27-21 finish.

Giants host the Vikings next then a rematch in Philly
before their bye week.

Obviously, I'm out for last night's game.

Cincinnati @ Buffalo - This should be an interesting game
Detroit @ Cleveland - I'm liking the Browns. I wonder if Megatron will play
Oakland @ Kansas City - I wouldn't be surprised if Oakland wins. The Chiefs will lose at some point
Carolina @ Minnesota - I'm not confident in this pick
Pittsburgh @ Jets - Or this one.
Philadelphia @ Tampa Bay - Tampa Bay is better than the Giants.
Green Bay @ Baltimore - I'm predicting a blow out win for the Packers.
St. Louis @ Houston - This could be a debacle.
Jacksonville @ Denver- Please.
Tennessee @ Seattle
Arizona @ San Francisco
New Orleans @ New England - I wouldn't be surprised if we see some evil stuff from the Patriots in this game.
Washington @ Dallas - Dallas is pretty good (I vomitted a little in my mouth).
Indianapolis @ San Diego - I still don't believe in the Colts.

11-4 last week
20-9 overall

They aren't a complete train wreck. We still have a pretty decent secondary and Briggs has been playing as well as ever, but the real problem is with our defensive line. If we only rush four you can build a family home in the pocket before you feel any pressure. I would be surprised if we didn't cut Julius Peppers this upcoming offseason, he just isn't worth the money we're paying him.

The eternal pessimist in me just can't be happy with a winning record, I guess.

Wow... Texans turnover their game to the Rams. Looking at the box score Houston's offense was impressive, but 3 interceptions and 2 lost fumbles
for an extra 12 points can ruin anybody's day.

Pryor had a big first half in KC, but the Chiefs' Defense sorted him out
in the second to reach 6-0. Don't know what happened in Viking Land,
besides Cam Newton, and the Bengals nearly blew a good effort in Buffalo.
Cleveland kept it close for awhile before the Lions aired it out and
the Lets end the Steelers beaten streak.

You could tell the Broncos were uninterested in this game and it almost turned into a trap. Peyton looked like Alex Smith with all those checkdowns.

And the Pats pulled that win out of their ass. I wrote them off as soon as they didn't make that fourth down.

The Red Sox matched that ass pulling a few hours later.

Matt Schaub wasn't the "goat" in the Texans' discombobulation today and failed to add to his consecutive game pick six record. There were way too many 45 yard plus pass completions for TDs in games today. What are defenders thinking when a receiver gets behind them late in the game...
and where was the Saints defense today?

The Saints/Pats game turned on that failed 3rd down pass
where the 15 yard excessive roughness or whatever that
flag was gave New England a 1st down at midfield. Looked
like a good hit to me, wtf is a defender supposed to do?

Week 6 picks
Bears...Giants go 0-6
Bengals ... needed some OT to save this one
Browns...Stafford busts loose & ends the Browns' win streak
Chiefs... I like Andy Reid, Alex Smith and the KC defense.
Vikings...Panthers gone wild
Steelers...Pitt finally wins one
Eagles... No Vick? No problem this week in Tampa
Packers... Rodgers is rolling... just enough
Texans... Houston bumbles away the day, lose Schaub in the process
Broncos... no sweat at Mile High
Seahawks ... still tough at home
Saints...TD with 5 secs to spare sinks Nawlins'
Niners...back to basics
Cowboys . .. NFC Least... not a pretty win, lose Ware for a few weeks
Colts...No Luck on the left coast as the Chargers kick 'em to the curb
10-5 . . . 56-36

I had Arizona at 11.5 underdogs. I lost by half a point. Kaepernick becomes the hardest QB to bet on for me. I made money in week 1 by picking sea. Since then, I have been cluelessƩ

Colts were certainly disappointing in San Diego as I thought they were one of the few consistent teams. Then again, I also thought the Saints had some defense working for them this season. This season isl hard to predict... Bills/Dolphins, Bengals/Lions, Cowboys/Eagles and Niners/Titans are all toss-ups in my mind, that could easily turn on just a few plays.

Chargers did very well (or colts D did very badly) not letting the offence take the field. Was that defensive lacking or a solid reliable offense?

I see the time of possession --Chargers with 3 long drives of 74+ yards for points-- but the Colts only second half points came on a 51 yd. FG with 2:22 left in the game.

Week 7

Seahawks
Dolphins
Panthers
Bears
Bengals
Cowboys ...battle for 1st in the NFC Least
Chargers
Pats
Falcons ...maybe the Georgia train wreck ends
Niners... add insult to the wounded Titans
Steelers ...Big Ben starts a streak
Packers
Chiefs... Texans are good enough to hand KC their first loss... but
Broncos...Colts are good enough to hand Denver their first loss... but
Giants... finally overcome themselves and win one?

Week Seven Picks

Seattle @ Arizona - I think this could be a competitive game.
Tampa Bay @ Atlanta - Atlanta has a bad defense and no one left on offense.
Cincinnati @ Detroit - I'm still on board with the Lions as long as Calvin Johnson plays.
Buffalo @ Miami - I'm coming around on Miami.
New England @ New York Jets - I hope the Jets win.
Dallas @ Philadelphia - Romo is going to have a blast.
Chicago @ Washington - The Skins get their first win.
St. Louis @ Carolina - I went back and forth on this one.
San Diego @ Jacksonville
San Francisco @ Tennessee - Should be a competitive game.
Cleveland @ Green Bay - Poor Browns fans.
Houston @ Kansas City - The Texans are falling off a cliff.
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh - You never can tell with rivalry-type games.
Denver @ Indianapolis - I hope I get to watch this one.
Minnesota @ NEw York Giants - The Giants get their first win.
