You have to pick your battles.

Jim, do you boycott Ford and other american car companies? They market their cars in communist china, and you've previously explained your distain for the CCP.
Ford is 'normalizing' communism through it's advertising and sales in China, so you must be up in arms about that right?
I boycott Ford and other American car companies, but not for political reasons. American cars are garbage. If I want to buy a car I'll go for German. Or Japanese.

mookiemcgee wrote:Well, Jim. You guys really did it! You took on Bud light and brought them to their knees. You chopped off their heads and took them down from being #1 beer, to #2 beer in the USA.
Now Modelo has the #1 spot... Now modelo is owned by InBev in most countries, but due to an antitrust ruling a decade ago modelo the brand in the USA is actually owned by Constellation Brands.
Is that the same Constelation brands that was named 'Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality' twice in the last 5 years?
Is it the same company the very outwardly supports trans people/rights to an extent that InBev wouldn't ever do?
Do you still think you really thought through this regarded attempt at boycotting?

Let's sample a bit from a recent Q&A with 'Stellar Pride' (Constellations entire division dedicated to LBGTQ+ equality) two leaders CHRISTOPHER DECOSMO AND MARAH CALVO
Q - What DE&I project are you most proud of implementing or working on?
Christopher: My dream project is Stellar Pride championing employees who feel comfortable to self-identify their sexual orientation and gender identity, as part of our Self Identification program. As our workforce provides these details and the project continues, it’s important to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our colleagues and to better impact our DE&I objectives. This project is helping to improve equity and programming across Constellation Brands.
Marah: I’m proud of our work to encourage all my colleagues to add their preferred pronouns in their email signature. Although it may seem like something small, it does help create awareness and a more welcoming environment, especially in the workplace. Personally, I am working on saying “them” when I introduce myself to people for the first time. Changes like this add up!
Congrats on slaying the dragon that was Bud light boys (and when I say boys, I only mean the ones with a penis)!
You really showed inBev who's boss by anointing Constellation brands imported product as top beer in USA.

jimboston wrote:I mean if you people don’t want to acknowledge the Trans Agenda has gone too far… that’s fine.
They started out just wanting to use bathrooms. Now…
*They demand you use their “proper” pronouns or you are evil.
*They demand you don’t use their “dead names” or you are evil.
*They demand Hollywood only cast trans-actors in trans-roles.
(Yet they also believe transpeople can play non-trans-roles?)
*They want to be housed in women’s prisons… even if they are not fully transitioned and even if they are convicted of violent sexual crimes.
*They want to use women’s locker rooms and women’s only gyms… even if they are not fully transitioned. So yeah.. your high school daughter may have to watch some dude walk out of the shower naked with his dick swinging around… but you can’t “he has a dick” you have to say “she has a dick”.
*They demand you acknowledge the statement “A transwoman IS a woman.”
*They demand you acknowledge “facts” like… “yes a man can get pregnant”.
(i.e. a biological woman who identifies as a man… )
*They demand inclusion in female athletic competitions.
*They demand “gender affirming care” for minor children.
(i.e.they want your 16yo kid to be allowed to get his dick cut off without parental consent…. but that same 16yo can;t get a tattoo?)
What will they demand next?
I am trying to be nuanced and say… I accept trans people as humans who have every right to do what they want to their own bodies and live their own lives and be happy. Yet I believe there “rights” end when they interfere with the rights of other people.
jimboston wrote:mookiemcgee wrote:jimboston wrote:I mean if you people don’t want to acknowledge the Trans Agenda has gone too far… that’s fine.

God forbid they are chosen by a beer company to promote the beer to other trans people. Some demands just go to far and I respect you Jim for choosing this particular hill to die on. Totally worth it so we don't end up drinking the same beer as 'THEM'!!!
If you want to pretend you don’t see how this snowballs that’s fine…
You can pretend.
jimboston wrote:It’s NOT about the beer.
The beer is a symptom… a symptom that is easy to point out and easy to protest.
What will they do next? IDK… start giving puberty blockers to 10year olds without their parent’s knowledge?
They are already doing this for older kids. They already give ADHD type medications to kids without parent knowledge/consent.
They are already performing permanent body mutilation surgery on 16year olds. They won’t allow a 16yo to get a tattoo in some places with parental consent… but they will provide “gender affirming care” (i.e. permanent mutilation of sexual organs) on 16yo’ s in some places against parental wishes.
I guess you don’t see Bud Light’s marketing move as am embracing of Woke Trans Culture and an attack on Traditional Family; and you furthermore don’t see this as an example of a larger social problem.
jimboston wrote:I hope they keep getting punished for pushing this agenda.
jimboston wrote:Bud Light decided to step into this cultural minefield and decided to promote “Transness” as a positive thing. As I stated I don’t believe Gender Dysphoria is “normal”. It is a serious mental condition… like depression or bulimia. We don’t tell young kids who are depressed and who are cutting themselves that this is “normal”. We don’t promote this as a “good thing”. We bring these kids to psychologists and hope that they can work through their issues. Often they are given drugs… probably too often IMHO… but the drugs are not given to normalize or support their negative views, the drugs are given to make them feel better. Whereas with Trans the current standard is to give drugs that support a biological fallacy.
jimboston wrote:I have every right as a consumer to choose which companies I support and which I don’t. I have every right as an American to voice my opinions about why I feel we should or should not support a particular company. I don’t think we should support companies that promote this agenda which (IMHO) is fucking up a generation of kids who are already dealing with stuff we’venever had to deal with.

Well in 2021 there were 282 'top' surgeries among minors across the whole country. Of a rough number of 27million minors between 12-17 that is .001%
Meanwhile, 4,830 minors got fake tits in the same year. Where is the outrage? Clearly these kids are destroying their bodies, mutilating themselves right? These doctors belong in jail? It's a slippery slope before infants start getting fake tits so they have an early advantage in finding a wealthy todlers boyfriend? Why arent bill moving through congress now to prevent this from happening???
Who do we boycott for this travesty? Victoria Secrets maybe???

A few posts in an online forum (not even a political website) now count as “serious effort”?
If that’s what you GenZ and Millennials consider “serious effort” it explains a lot.

Considering you spelled all the words correctly, it definitely does cound as a "serious effort" on your part.

Fake tits can be removed or modified and though they will leave a scar they will not impact your ability to have orgasm negatively.
