Georgia 52
LSU 38

Great game! Stafford looks stronger with each game. It was a great birthday present for me. Now we have to get ready for Florida next weekend.

Awesome game. Yes Stafford looked awsome. I think the player of the game should have been either Moreno or Gambel though.

Texas was a close game. I didn't get to see most of it.

By the way. Were my eyes playing tricks on me or was Colt McCoy really 26/28 at half time?

I really don't have an ominous feeling about the Florida game like I did before the Bama game. Florida can run all over you on offense but their defense isn't that great.

In other news, Penn St. won. In my opinion the game looked like a joke. Both teams looked slow and clumsy to me and both missed some easy tackles.

No the Chargers played in England today and the other team I think is a British American Football team (correct me if I'm wrong).

Who watched the Giants v. Steelers game? I had to stop watching during the 4th quarter because the refs calls were starting to make me sick.

It was the Steeler's offensive line that was sickening, as their spread offense seemed to play right into the Giants' defensive scheme and Rothlesburger got mugged all game long. Looks like the NFL finally put on a good game in London (Saints/Chargers)... while Dallas won ugly once more thanks to their best defensive showing of the year... and the Dolphins got their third "quality win"... LOOK OUT!

I can't say I saw many missed takles in that Ohio/Penn State game... and only two seriously blown pass coverages. Hard to believe the Nittany Lions had no turnovers or penalties the entire game. It was a hard hitting defensive battle with one major miscue that cost OSU the game... a fumble at midfield that gave PSU the ball on the Buckeye's 30... followed by a pass interference call. But one thing's for sure... Ohio State has a bright future with a true freshman QB.

Florida v Georgia should be an awesome game... but where was the defense this weekend for Georgia/LSU? 90 points sounds like a Big 12 game... and speaking of which, Texas/Oklahoma State had a lot of everything. Colt McCoy threw a lot of short stuff, but also hit some big plays every time they needed it... wierdest part of his 80%+ stat is that most of the incompletions were drops and there weren't many those. Texas had four long touchdown drives (two from inside their own 10 yard line) that really ate up the clock. They take on their 4th ranked team (and 3rd undefeated team) in consecutive weeks this Saturday night in Lubbock... which should be a very entertaining game.

Yeah, that's how the Steelers' line has been all year it's just now they're going against the Giants' D-line which did such a number to the Patriots in the super bowl. Really looking back now i don't think it was the number of bad calls by refs that bugged me so much as it was when it happened. They robbed the Giants of at least one touchdown and missed a defensive holding call that could have been the difference between a touchdown and a field goal.

oVo wrote:Florida v Georgia should be an awesome game... but where was the defense this weekend for Georgia/LSU? 90 points sounds like a Big 12 game

The surprising thing is that LSU's defense in particular did a better job than what the score would indicate. With the exception of the occasional big play, Georgia really had to work to get every first down and the real difference in the game was 17 points off of three interceptions (can't say that that's bad D). Now the defense could have done better on Georgia's side especially but really both sides did have better D than the final score would suggest.

As for the Georgia v. Florida game should be one of the best game all year (possibly the best). I think it should be a real good match up.

I think this will be Texas's week to lose. Texas Tech has looked really good in their last game and I think they can pull of the win.

Both Florida/Georgia and Texas/Texas Tech should be great... I can't wait. There was plenty of defense in the Texas/Oklahoma State game too, both teams really had to be patient and work hard to earn every point on the scoreboard as there were no gimmies.

I can't remember a time where any college team faced a top 10 matchup four weeks in a row...
and it's hard to believe a Michigan team that beat Florida last January 1st in the Capital One Bowl
won't be bowling this season, for the first time in like 30 years.

I'm happy about that. Yes, this may be the best weekend for college football in a long time. With two top 10 matches on the same day.

If anything was sickening, it was that safety. That kind of blunder is unacceptable. You do have to give the defense some credit, though. They managed to keep the Giants out of the end zone for a long time.

Okay so this week, I think it will be Texas Tech over Texas and while I believe this game could go either way I'm giving Georgia a slight advantage over Florida.

Half time for Georgia-Florida. Really pathetic so far. Georgia's down 14-3 after 3 trips to the red zone resulted in 1 field goal, 2 MISSED field goals (both less than 40 yarders) and an incomplete pass to a wide open receiver in the end zone. Not to mention two costly penalties against the Georgia D that kept Florida's drives alive and eventually lead to touchdowns and a stupid on-side kick call that lead to short field for Florida. They also left Harvin wide open on the option play to allow him a chance to practically walk into the end zone. So basically without stupid mistakes by Georgia it would probably be 13-7 in their favor and maybe even as lopsided as 21-0.

also, the whole stupid mistake thing is a bit of a silly argument to make. There are stupid mistakes on every single play, there wouldnt be football without them. Georgia just needs to stay solid on defense and convert in the redzone.

OUCH! Georgia needs a freakin' miracle.

The wheels have definitely come off the cart... 35 to 3 after three quarters.
The field goal that hit the left upright dead on pretty much sums this one up.

Followed by an interception. How strange is it that Massaquoi and Stafford have made some of the best defensive plays for Georgia this game? lol

There's a difference between mistakes and stupid mistakes. A mistake is something that is more or less expected to happen. A stupid mistake could be something like doing something completely unnecessary that erases an interception or for example what Georgia did on defense last year when they left a guy wide open, no one within 20 yards of him in last years Tennessee game.

I actually expected Georgia to show up tonight. I expected a high scoring game on both sides. Really the way Georgia played tonight, particularly in the second half, I don't think that they could have beaten anyone on their schedule.
