how am i an idiot for knowing nothing about Kwanzaa. i am not african, and know nobody who celebrates it. the way everyone makes it out, it seems that it is American. now, you did mess up the quotes so i guess that makes two idiots.

I wasn't sure where I was going to put this, and I didn't really want to start a new thread, so I'll just say it here.

Merry Christmas all!

Now now, let's leave Stopper alone, he's cool.

If it wasn't for Yule, Christmas would be during the harvest season.

Well look at Saturnalia, a festival that involved men getting drunk, beating their wives, exchanging gifts, and engaging in sex with each other.

Sounds like an All-Male Mardi Gras to me.

And the Romans, though I have yet to see Christians engaging in homosexual sex with each other.

Maybe next year...

LOL, sorry love, I suppose what I posted might have seemed like some kind of riposte to your thread, but take it from me, I'm an atheist, and I only use the terms "Christmas" and "Yule" in an utterly-non-religious sense... Christmas/Yule/whatever-it-is is just a break from work in the darkest month of the year for me - plus I suppose I see my parents & brother again. For what it's worth,
