I wanted to put "that Canadian guy from Georgia," but then I thought that would be rude,-- so while looking for your name because it slipped my memory--I got distracted, made a few edits, looked at something else--I recall seeing an odd-looking bald guy who quickly looked away as we briefly made eye contact, clicked Submit, and now I'm offering a lengthy apology. Sorry
ouch... that was like an appology that hurt worse than the original offense.

There's no need to get all touchy about it by screwing up the quotes.

What you have noticed but can't quite put the finger on, is that we're more intelligent. The stupidity of the average american is well known, even in america I think.

Irony, thy name is Gillipig.

Well I am a smart ass, I won't deny that. I wasn't really saying Europeans were less arrogant though, funky seems to think so but I corrected him and pointed out that what he noticed was just that Americans are dumber. Speaking of IQ, this a very telling collection of the average IQ of different states in America, and how they voted in the 2004 election. Next time someone who identifies himself as a Republican doesn't understand what I'm saying, I'm totally putting it down to his low IQ!

I've seen that collection. Unfortunately it is completely unreliable as a barometer of the relative intelligence of voters. For example, if South Carolina voted 54% Republican to 42% Democrat and the average IQ in South Carolina was 86, why does that mean the Republicans have the low IQs and not the Democrats? For example, if New York voted 58% Democrat and 40% Republican and the average IQ in New York was 127, why does that mean the Democrats have the high IQs? In order for me to believe that voters who choose Republicans have lower IQs than voters who choose Democrat, I would need to see the actual IQ data from those people.
Gillipig wrote:This was what I was just saying, when someone can't comprehend a very simple logical deduction, and "happen" to be a republican, I'm gonna put it down to low IQ.
(I'm saying you're stupid.)

Claim: chart shows relationship between 2004 voting patterns and IQ
Status: False
