The US has no laws to protect the dignity of the UK monarchy so, if ERII wants to be personally dragged into a witness box in Boca Raton, questioned about her sex life in a televised trial and forced to turn over her medical records in discovery, she could definitely sue. But since the Globe is incorporated in Florida which doesn't allow punitive damages for libel, she might get $75K out of it. Been suggested more than once that the location was no coincidence, but also that the good of the country depended on stability in crisis. Rarely is it the "good" choice in anything politics.. its usually the best of a bunch of poor ones.
