Well, one out three isn't bad. Frankly, I think I prefer Beck's Blaze Network over Fox News.

What about 2for1??? :P

Everyone besides this Kuth guy knows I am not a big fan of Sarah Palin or even Rush Limbough, in fact, I couldn't stand Rush for a long time, trying to feed everyone the Republican line 2003-2009. The one time I got to talk to Rush he hung up on me and called me a whacko lefty conspiracist. Michael Medved did the same thing to me too, but I got payback on him 6 months later.

Anyhow, about the intellect of Sarah Palin, turned out she was spot on about Russia. Says a lot about the people who teased her and said that was a dumb thing to say and held a completely opposite opinion, those guys aren't lookin very good right now, and only knowing the Saturday Night Live version of Sarah Palin isn't an excuse, not even for fans of Jon Stewart.

Heck, this might have even been cited as a difference between Obama and Romney! Now hindsight shows us, Obama takes his second term in January, Putin has his troops mobilized and ready to roll in February. oh, but foreign policy takes a backseat to social wedge issues, so I digress...

Colbert is much more clever. I remember when he first got his show, everyone thought he was a right winger (his sarcasm became more and more obvious over the years) but I remember talking with the guys at work about him at the time, must have been 2005-6. I had guessed he was only a Lefty in Right's clothing, and I think that's a big part of his gig, he pulls it off way better than Stewart, and Colbert is not called out as often as Stewart for misleading and manipulating, as Colbert humor is much more obvious and not trying to be serious.

When Colbert starts having mainstream news anchors like Brian Williams on his show regularly like Stewart does, it will be clear as it is now with Stewart that he was trying to blur the line between his comedy and the news.

Sorry Phatts, but most viewers knew Steven Colbert from the Daily Show aka Jon Stewart, before he started his own show. If you weren't in on the joke about Colbert, then I guess the sophistication was above your head or you were too young to wrap your head on the programming.

Both Stewart and Colbert have a very entertaining show, too bad that many right wingers only want to be reassured of their ideology by watching truly partisan crap like Beck, Limbaugh and Fox News.

What's more disturbing is listening to today's young adults spouting off partisan crap from obvious partisan news outlets and blogs. Sort of like repeating that President Obama is a foreign born Muslim.

Jon Stewart does not spout out HATE and if some believe that, it may be that they hate hearing another side of the story. So, turn off Jon Stewart and watch Fox News and feel happy that your with "Fox and Friends" Eeeeeeeegads!

colbert and stewart are equally funny in my opinion. You cannot make a show like that with right wing sarcasm I beleive. If stupid people take satirical news for the truth, doesn t mean you need to remove it from the people who know what to cherry pick and are entertained.

oh, of course, I don't watch FOX news (I checked out Megyn Kelly a couple times, to see what the #1 show looks like), and I'm not a birther either. If anything, I go with CNN and MSNBC more than anything. That makes you 0-3 with your Stewarts now.

Interesting, so, let's go with that, Stupid people take satirical news for the truth, why is it? Is it really just because they are stupid, and 0% Jon Stewart trying to blur the lines with reality? Why do you suppose Jon Stewart has news anchor Brian Williams on ALL the time? Does he have a real news anchor on his show all the time, to make it seem more fake? See what I mean.

And one more thought, let's say you have a show. Whether you wanted to or not, stupid people think your show is real. Are you sure you would NEVER EVER try to take advantage of that? What if it gets you better ratings? What if you believe you are just spreading your word better, so little edits and manipulation is worth it?

Colbert seems funny, but I like the Daily Show better for some reason. I don't watch either of them that much.

a bouffon is always there to mock the power. that's what they do. I've watched colbert or stewart once in a while, maybe not in the last year, or if I did just some 3 minute videos of a funny thing that happened in the program. I have no idea of who that brian williams is and I don't really care.
Sarcastic news can put fingers into funny places. This is just the result of a healthy democracy.

Hmm, I'm thinking Jon Stewart has friends of the show much like any other host, and Brian Williams is one of them. I'm not sure it gets any more complicated than that. I do generally agree with Lorne Michaels that Republicans have a better since of humor and that Democrats tend to take it personally. On top of that, a conservative leaning satire show wouldn't likely be that funny. "Blank had an abortion. I hope she likes Hell." Yeah...that kind of "humor" would make me really uncomfortable.
