Silly Betiko. Anyone playing Miami in the first round was a goner, it just was yet to be determined how much fight anyone would put up. And since Indiana was on the slide, if Charlotte would've played worse, and actually played #1 instead of #2, Charlotte probably would have had a chance to be in the same position Atlanta is in. Charlotte is better (by how much, probably not a lot) than the Hawks.

--Andy

This doesn t change the fact that if my aunt had nuts i d call her uncle.
Hawks finished with 5 lesser wins than the cats which is a lot, and if charlotte had just won one more in the entire season they would ve been seeded #5 instead of #7, and would ve faced washington. So if they had done better, they would ve had a different draw :P

Is is totally different than has.
Oh nuts.

The Spurs are a tough out and I'm hoping the Mavs don't come to regret not putting them away when they had the chance. Much like last season's Miami/San Antonio Finals, this is a great series.

Sterling banned for life and fined 2.5M. Adam Silver dropping the hammer and deservedly so.

I'm interested to hear Cuban's reaction on all this.

Cuban yesterday talked about the "slippery slope" of it all, if the NBA tried to wrest control away from Sterling. It is probably easier to simply take away every other privilege, and hope he eventually passes away and someone else gets control, or the other owners force a sale.

Since he's banned for life, do you think he will cough up 2.5 million bucks and how do the Clippers go about getting a new owner?

I don't know much about the guy other than what I hear on ESPN -- and they say he'll probably get into litigation about all of this. But it sounds like the owners will force him out. I am not sure how all that will work, since he has an estranged wife who might get some of the ownership of the team as well.

Anyways, it has been an interesting first round of playoffs. Unfortunately I've seen one game, like Heat Vs Charlotte game 2 I think, since I gaveup cable long ago.

An NBA exorcism of Sterling, they will compel him out.

Much like the Spurs intend to do with the pesky Mavs.
Dallas had 'em and will have to step it up if they want
to continue this playoff season.

I dig seeing Toronto, Atlanta, and Memphis ahead so far. I'd like to see Dallas go on as well, I don't particularly care about Houston or Portland. I was cheering for Golden Sate, but now I suppose I could live with the Clippers moving on.

nah, watched the game last night and i really don't think you deserved anything. Carter was absolutely on fire shooting 3pointers, other than this nothing. just one more and da spurs will show you again who rules texas! :p

and toronto brooklyn was pretty nuts last night.... toronto was like 23 up and it ended with a tie a couple of minutes from the full time.

Always liked the Blazers. Going back to the days of Duckworth. Also, when Sheed played there, the Blazers were always Blazin! So go Portland.

Bollocks.

33. Kevin Duckworth played with Drexler and Porter. The series I first became aware of him was the 1990 Finals, when they lost to Detroit.

Rockets come up a point short, but there's a lot of Game Sevens to be played now. Mavs return to San Antonio for a Sunday showdown.

NBA is ridiculous... way back in 2006 there was a huge problem with Sterling and they ignored it... the man was sued by the Department of Justice for housing discrimination... he refused to rent his properties to black people or people with children... interesting article:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/st ... nes/060810

Now, they try to act on what is someone expressing their own beliefs, which is not against the law or NBA guidelines... no way they can ban him for expressing his first amendment rights... they had better hope he dies of his newly discovered fake cancer, before they get their asses sued off by him... and i can't watch the NBA anymore... has to be something like HEAT vs. OKC or the old ass Spurs against the same... the league is boring now... anyway... just dropping in my 2 cents...-el Jesus negro

p.s.-the league didn't care when the Clippers were a joke, because they knew nobody would buy the damn team and they would get stuck with it... If they were smart, they'd move the team out of L.A. and up to Seattle where they screwed the city that could have watched Durant for an entire career... when he bolts OKC, that franchise will die...

I ve always wondered what it s like to be a clippers fan... Mostly before they were good.
I think the franchise was originally from san diego (where the name makes much morse sense).
Why the hell move to LA and be one of the worse teams during decades and decades? Who was sporting them when they had the lakers?

all the game 7s ended up as chalk, not as exciting as I had hoped.

Really wanted to avoid the Nets, but oh well. They're old, we should beat them.

Homer picks for the fucking win! Are you that worried the Heat can't three-peat that you're predicting the easiest path?

Toronto & Brooklyn was a good 7th game
and the Spurs saved their best for last.

Clippers off to a Thunderous start
and the Wizards keep it going too.

Spurs, Thunder, and the Heat are likely to win. But I think the Wizards have a better than average chance to beat the Pacers.

to tell the truth i haven't watched a single time the wizzards this season, just know that the bulls they faced had almost all team down, and that the pacers ended up the regular season as #1 in the east... they just need to get their shit together.
