It's unclear to me why interest in this thread appears to have waned.
Is backgammon not still - like skateboarding, and what, I believe, you youngsters call "The Tango" - still "all the rage"? How fleeting fashion is, and how I despair for the youth of today, with their "walkmans" and "longbows" and "the price is right".

Anyway, I rolled a double 2 recently.
Didn't help.

A double 2 means that mate can only happen in 7 moves as a minimum, in my calculation of the dice odds.

After that, you can start a thread to complain about the dice; that will be thread #102 that complains about dice.

ummm....didn't want my last post to be "kills self".

p.s By McHammer I obviously meant the lesser half of the well known half Russian, half Scottish Communtist stand up duo, "McHammer and Sickle".
Their rise to fame, and subesequent fall from grace has been well documented in the BBC docu-drama series "What A Shit Joke From The Rozza, And A Collosal Waste Of Everyones Time, Why Cant Someone Kill The Rozza?".
