You kinda lost me on that one...
Are you saying a Subaru is the default as far as cars go?

Damn good ride (I have driven it non stop from NYC to DC without a problem and once was insane enough to drive from NYC to Chicago but I won't do that again).
It's good because you drove it from NY to DC, then Chicago and back proves insanity? Cool story bro, how many cats rode along?

It's a 14+ hour trip and that's a bit of a stretch for a single run. We found a hotel on the way back. No cats but I did have a polar bear (well a cub's fan).

I usually find a truck stop or something for a nap after around 12 hours with food and fuel/pee stops. We will stop to investigate cool things or some attractions. I prefer a six or eight hour driving day but if you need miles you need miles.

I once drove from northern metro Detroit to Texarkana, TX straight through, just with a few food, fuel and toilet stops. Took about 16 hours. That was a solo trip. I've many times driven straight through from Detroit to Pueblo, CO, but that was with family and multiple drivers, and time ranged from 21 to 24 hours, depending on who drove the majority of the way. The Texarkana trip wasn't bad, except I wasn't feeling great and hadn't slept well the night before. I left at roughly 5am on a Saturday morning. Going home, I didn't leave Texas until 1pm, so I spent the night in Nashville.

Bollocks.

I drive unless I'm sick, exhausted or drinking. If pulling the trailer my wife has ever less interest in driving.
