IOW, the U.S. has no ability anymore to launch manned space missions so they can't really break ties with Russia since U.S. astronauts ride Russian rockets. So they've puffed their chests up and banned people sending emails! This is as empty and stupid as the threats I was making in Game 13937407 when I controlled one territory. Russia should call this bluff and break ties with NASA ... including ISS access.

It's a symbiotic relationship. USA pays a lot of money for these rides to space that help prop up their space program. We need each other. ;)

I guess some traditions for leaders (or in this case, ex-leaders) of former USSR countries die hard...

All countries should just agree to not have any armies or weapons. Fighting is what pussyhole cavemen do, not humans of this C21 we call home. Lay down the weapons and find peace. This is how humanity will progress.

I think you need to tell me why I'm wrong to compare Russia's actions in the last 20 years to Germany's actions leading up to WWII. Just because you don't like the parallel that I've drawn for you does not mean that it is without merit. European history is frighteningly repetitious. Every few years there's some asshole just nibbling away at his neighbors until he sparks a huge war.

and why you use NAzi Germany to compare with Russia,, why not compare US and Russia?

All wars after WWII are responibile two power-US and Russia,, so help me to build objective picture.

Lets try to both be objective and not hold any side.

brake of international law(after 1945)(no approval of UN)

US
1965-Ocupation of Dominican Republic
1956-Vietnam War
1961-Cuba attack
1964-laos bombardment
1983-Granada Invasion
1986-bombing of libya
1989-Panama Invasion
1992-Iraq no fly zone
1998-Bombing of Afghanistan and Sudan
1999-SR Yugoslavia bombardment
2001-Ocupation of Afghanistan
2003-Ocupation of Iraq
2011-LIbya bombardment (violation of Un resolution 1973)
2014-drone Campaign in PAkistan and Yemen

SSSR
1956-Hungary
1968-CSSR invasion
1979-Afghanistan occupation

Russia
2008-Georgia
2014-Ukraine

according on this US lead 14-5 against USSR/Russia in brake of international law. If i miss something please help to fill a list.

The more countries that adopt passivism, the more rewarding it is for others to be more aggressive. You'd get to be the bully of the block--with no competition.

I literally LOL'ed at this dribble. The US hasn't started a war since the 1800's. All other military actions have been necessary against various trash on this planet. You know that.

You are right- invasion, occupation and total bombardment are not declaration of war.
I can not understand that people all over the world can not see that when US send bombs on other country ,this its humanitarian action, who bring democracy and peace.
Vietnam its prime example , how US bring all this after 3 milion dead and total destruction of country.
50000 US soldier die 13000 km away to make this possibile . =D>
Today this two country have friendly relationship, and maybe this its formula for all country to be in great relationship with US.

So maybe need to be 10 years war Between US and Russia,, several million dead and US Russia relationship will be great, like today US-Vietnam relationship ?

The real answer is a unified earth government, a la Star Trek. And replicators. I was just thinking about matter replicators earlier. I had a hankering for some food that takes a long time to make.

Ha, well, that's a big IF. You still gotta think about people's incentives and the greater payoff for being the only aggressive player.

Peace among all might not be sustainable.

Did Star Trek have a lot of blacks? Maybe their unified world government work because they simply homogenized the world population or severely marginalized ethnic minorities. Could Star Trek have been an homage to genocide? All I see are white people on your gifs, Andy. Are you White Government supporter?

Strange land here in off topics.

Come on Qwert. We were asked by the South Viet people to kill those bent on killing them. You know. After the French left. Guess what - Vietnam was NOT a war started by the USA..

@ rishaed - You smoking crack? I can't find one accurate assessment/statement in your last post. Put the pipe down..

We sold weapons to both sides in WWII? By both sides you mean UK and RUSSIA. Right? I don't remember any tanks and ships for Hitler programs.. :-^

What about the negatives of being the only aggressive player? e.g. the lack of friends, the sorrow in your heart. Plus we all know that if one country tries to control everything like a bully then eventually its economy will collapse and Gorbachev will come along and kick the dying empire in the balls.

I support Andy's proposition of OWG.

Maybe not tanks, since German ones were more advance at that time but there was huge military trade between prewar Nazi Germany and US

3D printers should be grandfathers of Star Trek replicators. United nations should be the unified government that you are talking about. But its powers are not appropriate now.

Well, a lot of Americans had close ties to Germany, mostly familial, so no surprise there was trade with Germany for a awhile.

lol. 'IBM was selling punch card technology in both the US and Germany during the war' = 'The US sold weapons to both sides during WWII'

Wow. You use this and claim a huge military trade. Did you even read it?

It's about a German subsidiary of IBM that was taken by the Nazi's and used 1930's technology for punch cards..

Fail.

Nope... I only know that Germans were using the technology to facilitate Nazi genocide. And that is over 10% of the total casualties :)

Yes. The executives wanted Shatner to just hug her or kiss her on the cheek (can't remember which), but he full on kissed her and then refused to do any more shoots.
