Really? This topic is getting more disgusting over and over.

I don't think there is place for such hateful topics on CC. Maybe mods can look more into this unacceptable content which is posted under "Acceptable Content". There is nothing left of the free country I thought the USA was when I was a kid. Nowadays it is been lead by a "strange" guy which in a normal country would be in prison for a long time, of what he did in the past. A country where it is accepted to carry a gun. And lot of other things that are not normal modern Western values anymore. A lot of shouting in the name of God. Nobody has ever met God. Be realistic and make sure there is a peaceful World for all. If you want to Make America Great Again, than be sure to be the number one reliable partner and defender for these modern Western values of common sense that all people are equal, despite gender, sex, religion, age etc. That's how you make America great again. And not on the way it goes now!

Regarding Charlie Kirk. There are a lot of Charlie's who died, that deserve more respect. Like I posted Charlie Chaplin or Charlie Watts. It's sad Chralie Kirk died of a gun. But those things often happen in countries where it is free to carry one. It wouldn't be sad if his ideas died as these are not fitting in a respectful and peaceful World.

Lot of bad things going on. But talking about them isn't wrong. It would be more wrong to not talk about them.

I mean let's be honest, karel and confed can talk about civil war and going after the left, but it's just a couple of key board warriors.

What do we know about Charlie Kirk?

Charlie Kirk, the conservative influencer who became the voice of Maga youth

When the right-wing American activist and influencer Charlie Kirk was shot dead aged 31, he was speaking at the kind of university event that helped propel him to social media stardom.

Kirk was just 18 when he co-founded Turning Point USA, a student organisation focused on spreading conservative ideas on college campuses. As he was killed with a single bullet, he was speaking under a sign that read: 'Prove me wrong'.

At these events, Kirk became known for his combative style, inviting students to step up to the microphone and challenge his right-wing Christian worldview in front of a baying audience.

Clips of these exchanges built him a huge following - more than 5m followers on X and 7m on TikTok - that helped him mobilise the youth vote for President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly praised Kirk for inspiring a generation of young conservative activists.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cdxqnkwerj7o

Charlie Kirk espoused two main viewpoints:
1) the value of the nuclear family (father, mother, and their children), and
2) Christian values.

Did these two values get rid of ALL evil and ALL human problems? Of course not.

Nothing or no one is perfect. I know I am NOT perfect and I am quite sure no one else is either. Even ConfedSS acknowledges THAT.

And what about poor Jimmy Kimmel? whose show was a distant THIRD in RATINGS in that time slot? behind Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert?

Jimmy Kimmel canceled? Liberals are finally reaping what they sowed.

As a conservative at a mainstream news media outlet, I've found it frustrating to watch the hypocrisy of the left on display following the death of Christian and conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot Sept. 10.

The latest example of this is the Sept. 17 news that Disney-owned ABC preempted the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" show indefinitely, due to cruel comments made by the late-night host about Kirk's suspected killer and pressure from Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr.

(...) the left has amnesia when it comes to the cancel culture they perpetuated.

It is a game they created with rules they made up. Now they hate that it's being applied to them.

(...)
Hollywood liberals have canceled conservatives for years
Still, it's frustrating to see people outraged at what's happening with Kimmel and others because it seems so hypocritical. I've watched for years as conservatives have gotten canceled just for their ideological positions and expressing themselves freely. Although it's worth noting they weren't canceled by the FCC or an arm of the government, but by the private marketplace.

and MORE:
Jimmy Kimmel told to apologize to Charlie Kirk’s family, make donation to lift ABC on-air suspension — but he refused
(...)
Public figures with a large platform, like Kimmel, could have approached this precarious moment in our nation's history with an olive branch of grief and kindness, or even a joke for the sake of unity. Instead, he went ahead with a falsehood and a smear.

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/tv/articles/jimmy-kimmel-told-apologize-charlie-210838241.html

Kimmel is getting what he deserved: He has been FIRED by the American people, and so is Colbert. Terrible ratings will do that, when you only have ONE poor hackneyed joke, that Donald Trump is evil.

and:

Does anyone here on CC watch this guy? I don't and have not watched ANY of those 3 crazies in YEARS, and I watched them barely and rarely then. I did often watch Jay Leno or Johnny Carson when they came on, because they were FUNNY, often insightful, and Fair & Balanced on their jokes about BOTH sides. NOW we only get a steady stream on only ONE side.

i used to watch the Colbert Report, and still watch the daily show when jon stewert hosts. i have to say tho, as i always assumed jon stewert was a pretty fair guy, even tho i didn't agree with his big city worldview being raised in the country myself, i can appreciate a persons preferences just as much as the next guy. now, Colbert went plain goofball on the TDS, and im afraid jon stewert is showing some pretty heavy symptoms of it himself.

Colbert changed alot since his days on comedy central, at least his stage presence has. as far as kimmel goes, i never liked the guy. he seems so fake to me, even with out all the fake (appears to me) sobbing and crying he does. he was always a jerk and when he got on network tv, he just went off the deep end.

jon stewert, while i can still watch him, because he is kind of fair, he's not at all fair when talking about trump. they will find any angle to criticize anything he did, if he pulled a kid out of a burning house, they'd complain he didn't take his shoes off first.

and that's the biggest thing that TDS has done to people, is they don't understand how little anyone that's not infected cares what they have to say, because it's pointless to discuss anything with them. they're only valid in their bubble. when i was 22, i had no desire to care about politics, and if i did, i wouldn't have known shit about life anyway to make a reasonable choice on the best direction for a nation. i was broke and lived paycheck to paycheck. what sense would it make for me to decide what a 50 year old that has worked 30 years should do with his money.

i can think of bad and good things happening currently, i would even say trump has an ego problem. but the main thing that i like is things are happening. and the fact the political elite is so far against him, i have to think that means something. when i hear biden, or kamala, or newsom, or any of those folks speak, i think of some guy or gal trying to sell me on an extended warranty.
