can't say it any better than that... but I think you forgot Kwanzaa, in other words Happy Hollidays :D

sorry, about Kwanzaa, but barely anyone celebrates it, and it's not technically a religious holiday

Because you dont know any people who do, doesnt mean they dont exist. Millions of people around the world celebrate Kawanzaa. I am guessing that neither of you actually live in Africa which might explain it.

Neither is christmas according to some...

but, Kwazaa is an American holiday, from my understanding :?

well actually I am the one who said to mention it as well... never said it didn't exist, merely that I didn't know anyone who celebrated it, which explains why I don't know much about it...

It's both. From the Official Kwanzaa website: "As an African American and Pan-African holiday celebrated by millions throughout the world African community, Kwanzaa brings a cultural message which speaks to the best of what it means to be African and human in the fullest sense. Given the profound significance Kwanzaa has for African Americans and indeed, the world African community, it is imperative that an authoritative source and site be made available to give an accurate and expansive account of its origins, concepts, values, symbols and practice."

Ooops..thats not what I meant. I was refering to those who think christmas is now all about marketing & consumption.

My family celebrates at christmas-time as well... Family, friends, food, libations, gifts, Santa, good times!

thanks for the info Backglass!

and yes, now Christmas is very commercialized, but hey, it's still GREAT family time, and it really never was religious as its roots in England were very Mardi Gras like

its not, i was just curious, yeah the site has your e-mail address but you don't have to show it to everyone else, thats just silly.

but if someone who lets say didn't like him wanted to send him some junk mail or worst they wouldn't have any trouble doing it, obvisouly you're going to give your e-mail address out to your friend, even those you meet here but its a bit dodgy to let everyone have it. just my opinion

i'm sorry i didn't know every thread had to stay exactly on topic. happy yule btw.

you can block e-mail addresses after you realize you opened a virus into your computer, that wouldn't be any fun, thats why i don't get giving your e-mail to everyone who wishes to have it.
