I believe the discussion with me to which you are referring is that one time I told you I was going to post something, and demanded you respond to it when I posted it. Turns out I never posted it, so you're off the hook for now.

Spoiler: it was some Keynesian nonsense or another. I'll probably still post it sometime, but it'll have to wait until I'm in the mood to pretend that economics is a real thing. Right now I'm having more fun posting one-liners.

Full disclosure: this was just an extended ploy to create a setup for me to make fun of the field of economics.

For such big books, they sure don't contain much substance.

Markets are everywhere, so when discussing "the economy," you have to adopt an interdisciplinary approach; otherwise, you have to resort to aggregative analysis of a certain set of variables which don't explain the full story yet look really impressive to laymen and policymakers.

Velociraptors are everywhere, so when discussing "safety," you have to adopt an interdisciplinary approach; otherwise, you have to resort to theme park managers which don't understand dinosaurs yet look really impressive to laymen and policymakers.
