We should buy all pitch in and buy drone to fly above the drones, and monitor the drones.

I know, we'll just stack 'em, drone upon drone.

It's like Turtles all the way down, but instead, Drones all the way up.

And as far as we know space is infinitive so we could just keep stacking them in all eternity. It's a splendid plan my good sir.

Indeed. Any good liberal would have a serious problem with this.

Guys, stop trying to go back on topic?!?! Though, I suppose I have an on topic question. Has there been documented evidence of USA using spy planes over domestic USA back when those were in the heyday? My military history has never been that good.

Additionally, wasn't there discussion like this back when satellites could start to take high resolution photos down to the street car level?

I'm not sure, to be honest.

Probably. The difference is that drones are able to flexibly real-time much better than satellites are.

President Pushes to Extend Surveillance Law
The Obama administration is lobbying for renewal of a controversial 2008 surveillance law, warning that the U.S. would lose a critical intelligence-collection tool if Congress allows the measure to expire at year's end.

As President Barack Obama emphasizes his national-security record in his re-election campaign, he's facing strong resistance from some lawmakers who say the law lacks sufficient privacy protections.

Mr. Wyden said in an interview Tuesday he plans to continue his legislative "hold," which he initiated in June. The case for blocking consideration of the law, he said, is "even stronger" now, since the government recently acknowledged that National Security Agency surveillance under the law has violated Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches and seizures.

...

Mr. Wyden is blocking Senate consideration of the law because the government hasn't provided an estimate of the number of Americans whose communications have been captured as part of the surveillance program. He said he'd consider extending the law for a shorter time frame to permit a more in-depth debate on spying powers.

Sen. Rand Paul (R, Ky.) also requested the information on Americans who have had their communications intercepted. A spokeswoman said Mr. Paul is concerned that intelligence officials "declined to give us meaningful answers" and is still weighing how to proceed.

In response to requests for the number of Americans who have been spied on under the law, Mr. Litt said, "It's simply not a number that can be provided with any reasonable accuracy." and said inspectors general at the NSA and intelligence director's office have reached the same conclusion, adding that such an exercise would be very burdensome

lol, why don't they answer the questions?

"Uh, it's very burdensome, sorry. We can't be accurate about it, sorry!"
Smells like bullshit.

Apparently we can expect drones to fly over our heads in a few years. The legalization process is already well underway.
