I won my $100 bet that Obama would retain. I believe in a bright tomorrow, a tomorrow in which I have 100 more dollars.

Was the bet against your dad?
I should've taken that bet against whomever you did it with as well.

Shit, he'd be just as bad if Romney had won. Phatty is as Phatty does.

Yup. He'd had a few beers when he made the bet, but he was still confident Romney had it in the bag when I talked to him a couple days ago. I feel kind of bad for him, he still won't give up on the Republicans.

Meh, I feel sorry for the US as a whole to have to continually choose between the lesser of two evils to lead their nation. It's their own choice though, I suppose, so they'll have to live with the consequences. Unfortunately, the consequences of those bad decisions are felt around the world, and of course especially up here in Canada.

What, you think we're so much better off because we get to choose between the lesser of three evils instead of two?

The Parasites in Power are different flavours of the same River of Feces regardless of which country you're in. Power attracts villains and scoundrels; there is no exception to that rule. The highest office will always be occupied by the most evil man in the land.

The best is yet to come was Obama's catchphrase in his speech. The truth is America now has lesser expectations than ever before. I feel a little wary for the future of America.

I feel sorry for PS too since I don't think he's a bad guy, regardless of what his demonizers would like you to think.
But that stopped watch analogy has always irked me.

It's true. I said so from the start when I made my decision. I know a couple jackholes would mark out anyways...

I'm actually generally sympathetic of PhatScotty's position, even when I'm obviously critical of it and on the other side of it. What's your take on the anti-Tea Party backlash in the Senate races and primaries?

That must have been disappointing.

He never supported the Tea Party, he just opposed every other party.
