I like the build up in this song. It's called either 'August Storm' or '<--'

Andrew Bird has a lot of great instrumentals though.

most good music is instrumental. i don't listen to the music for the messages, so lyrics tend to constrict music for me

electronic music is mostly instrumental:

classical music is mostly instrumental:

jazz is mostly instrumental:

video game soundtracks are mostly instrumental:

and whatever other weird genres of music exist... most of them are instrumental too:

i don't need a dude telling me the same shit about love/life/money/etc. to enjoy my music. producers put catchy lyrics in songs so that you can remember their name once you hear them, and buy them later.

this has always been my favorite for years...

since then, i've really only enjoyed instrumental music.

of course i listen to all music, but i mainly just pay attention to the insturments

i basically can like all types of music

i could go on and on but it's doubtful that you'll enjoy my music the same as i do.

Tagging this thread for future reference. For some reason, right now I can't see any of the videos that have been posted, so I want to make sure I come back later.

There's some great stuff on this thread.
Before I post some more, if you didn't listen to this one, please do so. It is phenomenal.
Or of course listen again.

Just thought of this extremely obscure one: you need decent speakers to listen to this. SOmething I don't have on my laptop, so you'll enjoy this more than I just did...

Beat me to it. I love SRV's rendition of Little Wing. Jimi's original is way too short.

This shit ain't music, yo.

Also, you're severely limiting yourself if you don't listen to lyrical music because it's too conformist for you or whatever. Mr. Otis Redding has more instrumental music in one lyrical line from one of his songs than all of shitty Deadmau5's "music."

Mr. Sam Cooke, with and without the Soul Stirrers, played a velvety smooth vocal instrument. Deadmau5 types shit in to a computer.

Also:

i don't need a dude telling me the same shit about love/life/money/etc. to enjoy my music.

lol. Decrying lyrical music because the lyricist is trying to convey a message or portray a feeling while supporting symphonic music is kinda silly. Pretty much all music, regardless of whether somebody is singing or not, is meant to evoke some emotion or convey a message.

HEY GUYS I DON'T LISTEN TO BEETHOVEN'S NINTH BECAUSE IT'S GOT VOCALS IN THE FOURTH MOVEMENT AND HE'S TRYING TO FORCE HIS JOYOUS ADVICE UPON ME.

I love this track, as well as Dust My Blues & Someday After A While, but Super Natural is definitely my favourite off this LP.

Here's a very closely related track, also composed by Peter Green and featuring John McVie on bass.

It's also worth mentioning the mighty dub originator - King Tubby - with his version of Take 5
