OT's Happy Room

In here everything is happiness, everything is play.

It's a big open space, cozy, it has a controlled temperature of 22C, always.

In a corner there's a desk with a bunch of old socialist journals for saxi. There's also regular magazines so he can make collages. He has scissors and glue. Close to him there's a desktop computer where haggis writes bash scripts. There's no internet connection though, although he tries and tries to make antennas with pringles cans to get some signal. No cellphones are allowed in the happy room.

Phatscotty has a corner for himself, where he puts up posters of batman, di caprio and christopher nolan. He spends a lot of time plotting how to arouse others with ambigous political claims. Very close is BBS, with a bunch of economy books. He has a poster too, of adam smith. He's been thinking of putting up another poster of keynes, but hes not sure. He spends most of his time jotting long arguments with a devilish smile.

AoG has a space for him as well, where he hangs, but he has nothing there, he doesn't care much about stuff, except a pencil with which he marks his height on the wall every other day. Mets is next to him, and they often discuss astrology. Mets grudgingly lents AoG books sometimes.

I'm somewhere around, I have ton of stuff because I'm always changing my interests.

2dimes and jonesy are in the center of the room. jonesy keeps making jokes and plays to amuse us, and 2dimes talks with everyone in conversations that I often don't understand.

There is plenty of more space for the guests, often max and betiko come and we have to remind them to speak english. I still remember when max came in his french maid costume. There's wall that has some graffitti from the last time Pedro visited, but he hasn't come back to finish it.

Correct. But we only trust Mets with our horoscopes. You are still learning.

What is this "C" you're referring to? This is no happy room if you don't use the proper temperature measurement - Farenheit. Named after Jim Farenheit, the American scientist who invented pasteurization and nuclear bombs.

Do we get plasma cars?

I'll take one of those beers please.
I'd like to make a request for lots of full bookshelves for my quieter moments.

It may be a happy place, but quiet? Not so sure.

Then only unhappy thing that OT's Happy Room has is a taser, whenever Scotty starts talking about politics, we quickly tase him and let him lying there for a few minutes.

I was browsing the forum this morning and noticed there were no threads on the State of the Union or the response by Republicans and I was like "Wha?" Then I realized Scotty was banned.

Can we have a high quality full motion aircraft simulator? I'll teach everyone how to fly if they want. 'Course, I'm still waiting to hear back on the bewbs and plasma cars.

What brand bourbon quirkly? I can probably get into some zydeco.

I prefer Jim Beam but I'll bring some Jack and Maker's to share. Maybe we can give it the Honibaz treatment. Not everyone digs zydeco. Reggae and bluegrass should be well represented in the happy room as well.

Oh, wow. I never thought I'd end up a booze snob. I'll canvas the management for some Buffalo Trace. It's delicious.

I finally got through that bottle of Jim Beam black label without even resorting to cooking up shrimp and chicken in it but it was a tough go.

I developed my taste for bourbon during the 90's when I was drinking daily. Usually well brands from the local bars & clubs. If you don't like Beam you should stay away from Evan Williams. It's a real working class bourbon. How about some Old Crow? I've had 'em all. These days I drink about 2 or 3 beers a month. I still enjoy cheap alcohol. I bought a Schlitz Bull tall boy last week at a convenience store. Back in the day I bought cheap, strong alcohol and spent the big bucks on other substances for my head. By far the worst alcohol I ever purchased was something called Cool Colt. It was a very short lived product endorsed by Tone Loc. Colt 45 with a mint flavor. I think the idea was to keep your breath fresh while you got wasted. I was into drinking malt liquor so I bought three 40oz. One sip and I knew I had made a mistake. For the record Crazy Horse was my 40oz of choice.

I never buy 3 of any booze. I never know what I'll like or hate until I try it. I hated beer when I was younger but had a couple of bad experiences with the Rye Whiskey. So I drank beer for effect. Then when I tried to quit drinking later on for years I found I had developed a taste for Stouts and ales.

Now I enjoy beer best and in the last year or two found the medicinal quality of single malt is wonderfull.

I went to a Robbie Burns tribute with a buddy and found I like the mid range 15 year stuff best currently. Don't have a taste for bourbon but like that stuff I mentioned. It's less expensive than Maker's Mark.

Well some laugh when he's being tased and laugh a little more when he's convulsing on the floor for a few minutes but I don't think he enjoys it.
