I picked the last one because its the closest to "leisure" imho. The votes on the second one explain why so many people seem concerned with disproving what other people think. I just don't get it though.

Not sure how much difference there is between 1 and 2. If you want to educate people, isn't that the same as countering incorrect information?

Many make posts with new information trying to convince others of their ideas.

Many see posts they disagree with and counter that information.

Obviously everyone probably does all four, but the difference is real to be sure.

Well from my point of view as a number 2 as keeping people in check.

I dont think you can convince too many people of anything if they already disagree, but I feel its very important to counter what seems to you to be completely incorrect information. No one expects to convert anyone per se, but more stand up to what they think is wrong.

Yeah it seems like there are two different versions of #2 then. Yours where you are simply countering with other information and those who are dead set on either conversion or making themselves feel superior(there are plenty of the latter on here).

There are many versions of all of them indeed, but it does seem like everyone does follow one of them more than the other in my opinion, and I certainly know my overall posting has been in the #2 range(joke all you want fuckers) whereas, phatscotty would undoubtedly see himself as a #1(jokes possible as well.)

This; but I chose the last option as when it comes down to it thats the most common rationale; id like to think the first two exclusively apply, but nah, mostly just avoiding work.

Futurama is comedy for people with a brain.
South Park is comedy for people with half a brain and for people with a brain.
