If pressed, I might pick Omar as my favourite, but there are just so many amazing characters in that show that it would be tough to pick just one.

Were you smoking some strong dope at the time? The Wire is quality from the outset.

Agreed. I wouldn't say it gets better, but maybe it could take a few episodes to get to know the characters. There are a lot of them to get to know.
