This is such an amazing documentary for a couple of reasons. First it shows you the manipulation of the mainstream media of Mummar Gadaffi into a tyrcanical overloard; when in fact he reinvested much of his oil profits into the Libyan infrastructure, healthcare, education, and raising their over all standard of living. Secondly, he was ready to get off of the U.S. dollar as a method of trade and move into something called the "Gold Dinar" which would have made oil to be paid via gold - guess who didn't like that? Third, he was openly speaking at the U.N and other summits about how the Middle East was openly getting screwed by the West and that they needed to band together to achieve something better. Lastly, it wasn't a civil war that was going on in Libya (as portrayed by the media) instead it was a paid insurgency of mercenaries to get rid of Gadaffi which was funded by Americans via ammunitions/equipment.

I'd be surprised if they PROPERLY cited all claims, so that we can verify them.

I like that youtube has over the year become a dumping ground for direct to video conspiracy videos!

It was escaped rebels, whose leadership in part had been imprisoned in Gitmo.

As for manipulation by mainstream media, if you see the unedited video of the support for the rebels, you will see the American reporter pushing the signs away that the crowd was holding to get them out of the camera view, since all the signs were in support of Gaddafi. He had 95% popular support and we overthrew him.

Call it a conspiracy or call it standard operating procedure. The communists in Vietnam had 80% popular support and yet we went in to help the democratic 20%. In Zaire, we overthrew the president and when that wasn't enough we assassinated him. The list is long. If you aren't our vassals, you are a target.

Anyways, BBS can ask for all the citations he likes, since he is too lazy to check facts and too busy finding fault with facts to actually take them into consideration, but Gaddafi's record at the UN and African Nations summits are online, that higher education and housing were free can be read off of wiki, the BBC reported on the character of the insurgents and the gold dinar:

America needed to do what America needed to do to survive. If they didn't and the gold standard was reinitiated then the world's power would shift in which case we would become the poor. And if that happened then we wouldnt be sitting here and screaming "CONSPIRACY" but rather "why the hell didnt the military intervene to preserve our way of life?" Everyone here seems to think that the world has become civilized and its possible to live peacefully but its while capitalism is the dominant ideology.

The most disturbing part of that video is the realization that the Amerian $ is not backed up by any commodity and is thus absolutely worthless. The etire monetary system relies on the world's belief that it is otherwise...

Great. We need to make sure that all countries are worse off than us by comparison so that we are no.1. Well we aren't, not in education, healthcare, quality of life, but we are in energy consumption, military spending and prison population.

Well, it is survival of the fittest and nobody willingly gives up the top spot. America`s superiority is at an end and they are clinging to it in the most animalistic way possible: through a pure display of power.

War on Drugs, War on Terror, War on Cancer, War on Poverty:

whenever I hear the word war, all it means is we are pursuing a military-media-industrial economy to someones detriment.

We the people; well we the people have very few facts and would not go to war with Iraq, Afghan, Columbia, Syria, Libya and Iran for the real reasons. The very first section of the Art of War talks about the need for the moral superiority in order to engage in war. This has become an illusion of moral superiority through propaganda. But the propaganda that is heard in the US is not that which is heard around the world. Our global standing is that of a sickman surrounded by vultures.

When will we decide that it is better to try to live with our neighbours instead of by a boot on their neck? 99% of us will not gain from these wars.

Col. Qaddafi and Saif al-Islam sacrificed themselves to buy Syria time to ready its defenses against the Zionists. To save Libya, we must support Syria, President Assad and the Arab Ba'ath Party.

Col. Qaddafi putting the morbidly obese, cocaine-addicted king of Saudi Arabia in his place -

(At the end, Col. Qaddafi calls himself the "King of Kings and Imam of all Muslims" ... he is making a joke, sending up King Abdullah who has given himself 100 ridiculous titles ['Custodian of the Holy Mosques' etc.]. The western press, however, typically take that one line out of context and use it to call Qaddafi a power-hungry madman.)

It's so refreshing to hear some honest talk about the US,and much preferrable to that crock of shit about 'land of the free, home of the brave'.US hands are just as dirty as most others, and given their economic might they have ample means to use it.
I know its utopia but wouldn't it be great if all governments could stop pretending and admit the real reasons for their policies? You might not like them but it would be out in the open.

Politicians who choose to speak the truth are not elected into the office. The majority of the population still prefers the white lies over the cold hard truth. Ignorance is bliss afterall

Colonel Q was known for his casual way of travel. In the '70s official British state TV did an anti-Qaddafi propaganda film. Of course it was one-sided and they berated him due to his support for the people of Ireland. They called him a religious fundamentalist when, in fact, the Green Revolution had introduced secularism to Libya.

But, even in that British propaganda film - as lopsided as it was - they acknowledged he would usually drive himself from his apartment to work at the RCC headquarters in his own car every morning. (This is interesting as it's also the only known film of The Colonel's parents, one of only a handful of times he was recorded speaking English and there's even footage at the very end of Saif al-Islam at the age of four!)
