Catholic Cardinal Keith O'Brien, in trouble with the law for *SHOCKING* sexual misconduct, has apologized for "offending anyone". Since, you know, that's how minor such an offense is.

What do you guys think about all of this? Why so much anathema and demands to shut up about these scandals, but you'll all carry on as if it's the end of the world about the American federal government's budget?

Please defend this man's actions, if possible. Considering how quick people are to defend say, George W. Bush for lying to the American people in order to invade Iraq.

Meh- what he did was relatively minor- sexual harassment and hypocrisy. I don't mean to dismiss either, but it's not exactly shocking.
