I've heard and read about this fella before, but I don't think I ever got the valued insights of our Off Topic denizens (most of you all are much smarter about
mumbo jumbo than I am) about his claims and it all, since something recently from the NY Times popped up about him, here I am.

Kind of pointless. The only people who have been there are pre 1980ce Americans and no one has the equipment to go currently. You own it. So what?
You can't defend it.
In conclusion I like his style.

If an organization built a colony on the Moon, then they would own some portion of the Moon--much like the distance of a town and its hinterland.
I'd support this regardless of Earth laws on Moon property rights. Those Earthers have no right!

I read it for the first time a year ago.
I absolutely loved the Mars ownership discussion in Stranger in a Strange Land.

The first 10 pages were rough for me, so I set it aside.
When did the Stranger perk your interest?

Last year (around the same time as Moon is a Harsh Mistress).

I saw this on TV somewhere too. Lots of celebrities and if Im not mistaken, Clint Eastwood is among the 'investors', which makes sense since he would have to be there to settle it.

Page 1. But I'm a science fiction fan. The first 10 pages were science fictiony. The book jumps from theme to theme (pretty seamlessly I might add).
