I will add that I am an elections inspector in the state of New York.The Attempts at voter fraud country wide are negligible.what ID is supposedly try to prevent is in person voter fraud.Tell me how many people have to be involved with in person voter fraud to affect a general election? Think about it.How do you get that many people organized? How do they keep quiet about participating in this fraud,someone Always talks. Can I see your source for the negligible claim? Also, will you admit up front that voter fraud is extremely difficult to detect, much less prosecute? As well as when a state has been decided by 8% points, will you admit up front that most if not all of any cases of voter fraud are dropped in those areas? And if you would be so kind as to offer an opinion on the issue of REPUBLICANS! stealing the 2004 election for Bush?

This one hurts the most for me personally,knowing when laws were overturned in the early years of the Bush administration.What the eventual outcome would be.Virginia Tech,Newtown...The Virginia Tech Shooter was not A US citizen.The NRA used there influence to say everyone In America should be Able To buy Guns.They were successful in Making this legal.Those of us on the extreme Left at the time Said "what..are the NRA arguing for the rights of Usama Bin Laden to buy A gun in the US?"....One thing we Should Agree on Not A USA citizen NO gun rights.

Meh, we Canadians are required to show voter ID to vote and we have a higher turnout that you guys down south. Maybe if you followed our example more people would vote! jk Seriously though, I don't see why it's such a big deal to you down there to have reasonable precautions against voter fraud.

That's interesting, I wonder if it's politically motivated? all democrats fall in line to say it's not a problem (since they have the most to gain) and all republicans say it is a problem (they have the most to lose) Of course, the roles are reversed in other areas where political machines have been in power for 50 years (maryland republicans dont want voter ID, democrats do) and operate on graft openly (Chicago/state of Illinois). There are plenty of instances in our history where voter fraud consumed entire towns, with brothers of the governor who were sheriff, father/son attorney general/governor combos. Just wondering when all that supposedly ended.

Also, I think a state that boasts so openly that they don't have voter fraud is likely to mean they aren't spending money looking for it, which means anyone who wants to commit voter fraud could do it and is much more likely to get away with it. And I gotta ask you one thing, and I'll appeal to your bias on this one. Imagine Obama is running a tight race, and a bunch of hardcore racist Republicans are looking for blood and will try to beat Obama in the election at all costs. Why is it you trust all those racists to follow the rules? Why do you give them, or humans in general, for that matter, such a huge benefit of the doubt? Humans love to cheat, I'm sure you are aware. If someone wanted to cheat and vote twice in Pennsylvania, granted from what I read in your link.....what would stop them from cheating? Or are all men angels?

This of course resulted in the democrats eventually losing all the South as a voting block.The question about Racists stealing elections.They have tried but the voting rights act has stopped them.ThE voting rights act is in front of the supreme court now..The conservatives on the court will use judisal activasim and make it unconstitutional.

Was there a time in Canadian history were one group of Canadians was trying to keep another group of Canadians from voting.This happened in the US. Laws were passed to try and make sure it does not happen again.That are now 40 years later going to be called unconstitutional.I like Canada I refer to it as Our more civilized neighbors to the North..Bob and Doug McKenzie Rule!

I have to agree with this one.Bloomberg was a democrat then a republican and now he is a Independent. He may be the only politician in US history to take all the bad things about both parties and govern that way.

btw, is it just me, or do none of scotty's propositions say anything at all about the founders? They only discuss current discrepancies, I don't see a single statement in that list supporting the idea that "the country was founded by geniuses".
