I suppose if the pain from being hit in the balls lasted 8 hours, then perhaps they are equal.

And if you had to get you scrotum sewn up afterwards.
They aren't comparable.

I've been in pain for weeks after taking a BMX bike to the groin off a 20 foot high ramp. I mean, I threw up instantly while passing out, then spent 3 days wrapped in a bedsheet on a couch unable to move.
What they're saying is that there are variable degrees of pain in childbirth, and variable degrees of pain in being hit in the scrotum. And depending on the circumstances, these can overlap.

Reminds me of a joke; once upon a time, a doctor informed a expecting couple of a new device they were testing that would transfer all of the pain of childbirth to the father of the child.
The husband reluctantly agreed. She gave birth to a baby boy without any pain whatsoever. The husband said he didn't experience much pain at all.
With baby in hand they returned home to find the milkman outside their front lawn, dead. His death appeared quite painful.

I'm pretty sure I've had to deal with more than 8 hours of total ball pain.

ITT presumably male people don't know the difference between a scrotum and testicles.

I'd rather take 8 hours of childbirth than 8 hours of getting my balls kicked. My balls would take maybe 15 minutes of constant kicking before they got destroyed, soon after that I'd pass out and then sometime during the remaining 7 hour and 45 minutes of the beatdown I'd die. Childbirth is like a dream compared to 8 hours of getting your balls kicked.

Only one of these options has a purpose, therefore it is the better one.

Is that purpose revenge?

Well, I have heard of people getting "revenge" by poking holes in condoms...

I think the only analogy that would make sense here would be childbirth vs balls in vice.
One can then create a graph depicting size of vagina vs size of baby, vs size of balls vs relative squeezing of vice both and at various lengths of time.
As someone eloquently put it before, certainly there is some overlap, not to mention some sick mofo scientists measuring a lot of junk.

And we mean a lot, of junk.
