I wonder how much time she spent in the in the bathroom per week.

“They give you two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch,” said Rifkin

So... >45 minutes per day, or 3 hours and 45 minutes per week?

Finally, she said, her supervisor pulled her aside and told her to get a note from her doctor explaining that she needed to go the bathroom often. ”At that point, I thought my head was going to launch off my shoulders,” said Rifkin. “‘Are you serious? I need to get a note from my doctor to go to the toilet?’ This is a basic biological need.’”

Well, if one spends about 4 hours per week using the bathroom, then a doctor's note would be helpful. CYA policy.

Then she started using vacation time and finally the Family Medical Leave Act for 12 weeks unpaid (7 actual weeks used), then upon her return she got fired on a technicality.

Why did the company fire her?
