but no, now that i remember it it was not this one, it was another german movie with kids that kill the adults or something. cabin in the woods does suck, it's the one that ends with a bunch of monsters right?

I doubt that its the worst movie ever. Napolean Dynamite and the Last Airbender certainly come to mind, as do the Twilight series.

I liked the Last Airbender. It was much better than Avatar, which stole the name. I like everything Shymalan did, except Sixth Sense and Signs. I notice how 2 weeks before After Earth came out, it had a 15 Metascore, putting it in line to be the worst-reviewed movie of the year. There is like a cult of reviewers that sees his name and just automatically assigns low scores. He is like the Adam Sandler of directors, except his movies are good.

Uh, about the only thing remotely good, was at the end when Aang did the thing with the ocean.

Otherwise, yeah, a complete crap fest that left fans of the show with a bad taste in their mouths. They couldn't even get the names right. Or the personalities. I take that back, the only personality that actually worked was Zuko's. He was supposed to be a whiny, depressed, and angsty teen. Aang was supposed to be happy go lucky with a moment here or there of doubt, but overall happy. And Sokka was supposed to be the sarcastic butt of every joke kind of character.

There was no comedy. There was awkwardness. Throughout the entire movie. The names, the actors, even the story. Not only was it really bad for fans of the show, but it was really bad overall.

I liked everything M. Night did (including Sixth Sense and Signs... I thought Signs was his best one followed very closely by Unbreakable). To be fair, I didn't and won't watch Last Airbender, Cabin in the Woods, or After Earth.

So I saw The Conjuring two nights ago. I was reminded why most modern horror movies suck.

It was completely fucking predictable from beginning to end.

AOG, you should watch Onibaba (1964). I think you would like it. Lots of eroticism and some toplessness, plus sometimes it is weird and creepy. I think it is available for stream on Hulu Plus, or you can get a Netflix DVD.

In a kind of weird way, I liked Cabin In The Woods. At least to me it did a good job making fun of the overly predictable, overly copied basic Hollywood horror plot that gets recycled 12 times every year.

Last Airbender sucks worse than any movie I ever saw. Maybe it was different if you hadn't watched the show but as a fan of the show, I swear I wanted to fly to Hollywood and punch everyone involved with that movie in the face.

I liked Sixth Sense but his movies have kind of been down hill since from the ones I've seen since. I remember liking Unbreakable, I liked the Village until the stupid bleeping twists and Signs was just too ridiculous for me to get into. It wasn't scary or eye opening for me and the aliens weakness was so ridiculous that I still can't believe he thought he could get away with it.

Alien #1: Hey guys, let's invade this planet.

Alien #2: Umm yeah...you know we're allergic to H2O right?

Alien #1: Yeah, so?

Alien #2: Well it's just that it falls from the sky on this planet on a regular basis.

Alien #1: I don't see your point.

Alien #2: Ah you're right. There's no problems here. Let's go invade them.
