This is the least exciting superhero movie ever.

It's just going to be the exact same dad-son-dad-who am I though? story that we already know.

Ant-Man is gonna kickass though, amirite CC?

Are they gonna use the Kirkman story line? Now Walking Dead is so big, that would be a selling point. Although they did cancel it at the time due to lack of interest, which was a huge shame cos it was most amusing.

Superman is probably my least favorite comic book character. It's hard to feel any kind of suspense for an invincible person.

I will still watch the movie though.

FINALLY
Here's what I know, Edgar Wright is directing the film. He directed Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, so there's some speculation that Simon Pegg will be in the film. Nathon Fillion was asked recently if he was going to play Ant-Man, but instead of commenting he asked for another question. The film was supposed to come out in 2014, but has been pushed back to 2015.
But the most interesting thing of all, both Ant-Men, Pym and Lang, are going to appear in the movie. What could that mean?

Doctor Strange and Blade are being made into films as well. That's a Blade reboot, without Wesley Snipes. Thank Jebus. Next year Guardians of the Galaxy will be released as well, directed by Jame's Gunn. I've been waiting for him to do something with film ever since the excellent Slither. But I admit that I've never read Guardians of the Galaxy.

I agree. In the DC universe he's become weaker over time, because it was the only way to make anything interesting happen.

I still didn't find it interesting.

I forget their names, but a couple of Jews who went to McGill University created Superman to mock the Hitler regime's propaganda regarding the ubermensch.

.

It means they're not using the Kirkman character, who was a low-level SHIELD operative who stole the suit. Pity.

If you haven’t heard already, Ben Affleck will play Batman in the Batman-Superman sequel to Man of Steel, which is coming out in 2015.

The director of the the series, Zach Snyder (300, Watchmen), explains his reasoning thusly:

‘Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne,’ Snyder said in a statement. ‘I can’t wait to work with him.’

I disgree with Matt Lewis that this could tarnish Affleck’s surging career as an actor and director. The Christopher Nolan-Christian Bale Batman trilogy renewed superhero movies by proving that they could be cinematicaly intelligent as well as tasteful and even artistic. Christian Bale perfectly captured the tragic figure of a man who lost his parents to violent murder. This multi-layered Batman made the character more mature, and therefore more appealing to a broader audience.

The Dark Knight trilogy certainly helped make Batman one of my favorite fantastical characters, as well as the most fascinating action hero in the DC Comics world. It will be a challenge for any actor to meet Bale’s standard, but any who attempt it must be taken seriously.
