Every day I drive 80 miles and almost everyday I run over a kamikazee bird. The other day 3 died only in the morning.

What the f*ck? I'm don't drive that fast, 70mph. They fucking get into the middle of the road and wait until I'm 5 meters from them to start flying and of course some have to die. Others actually get in the middle of the way when I'm almost there, they are playing I think or they're are fucking suicidal.

I can't stand it I feel bad every time. What should I do?

I think that's some kind of sparrow. I know they make these whistle things that you can attach to the hood of your car to scare away some animals but I'm not sure if it would work on birds:



It's worth a shot, they seem pretty cheap.

COuld it be that the aerodynamics of this car pulls them more than other cars? Because I don't see many other birds dead on the road.. and i see them on the mirror roll on the pavement after i hit them.

Unless birds have little flying hearses..

Oh, sparrows.

They're bastards. They destroy birds' eggs, which is why they're so prevalent in urban areas. They're basically nimble, flying rats, so feel free to kill as many as possible.

OH NO! A conundrum for animal rightists! Sparrows endanger other bird species, but they don't want to kill sparrows! They'll have to trap millions of them and then... dump them in another city!

Look, be thankful that you are not crashing into pelicans at 70 MPH. Especially the windshield on the driver's side.

I don't have enough frequent observations of the countryside to claim that they're prevalent in both urban and country areas.

Tie a cat to the front of the car, birds are scared of cats and they will fly in the opposite direction

And even if they don't it's one less cat to worry about.
