Is Jock Sniffing a Genetic Trait?

I knew this one guy in college and he was like obsessed with sports. He would yell and scream at the television, follow all the sports channels, etc,. It was weird because otherwise he did all the same activities/sports/classes as the rest of the kids in our group, just he was overly emotional about professional sports teams and their fates.
One day though I went over to this kid's house and his dad was there watching TV. He was this big fat flabby guy sitting in his lay-z-boy ranting over what was happening on the screen, spilling his beer and shaking the recliner all over the place, veins popping out of his face and neck. It was exactly like watching his son only his body was much worse and he had much better snacks around him. This got me thinking...
I had grown up in a household where we would watch baseball/basketball/football games when it was convenient/at the end of the season and we went to the occasional live game so I had my fair share of exposure to professional sports but why didn't I have the burning desire to sneak into stadiums at night and sniff all of those men's jockstraps?

Could you be more descriptive about the "better snacks?"

You make it sound like you are better?

You are not. We all make decisions based a lot in conditioning. There's no right or wrong decision, except based on your values. You have different values, big deal.

You are the same kind of person your friend is, doing what your father did. Skinner would be proud of you.
