US are pretty good and will only get better as olympics gets closer (sure its only 7s in the olympics, but more people playing the sport will improve both forms).

Id expect you guys to be competitive at the international level within a decade. When that happens people will start caring.

Go pal,Rugby is a great spectacle at international level, the recent Lions series in Australia had everything including the right result...doesn't matter if the Blacks win by 30 you will have the privelige of seeing them live.

Go, Rugby is great to watch live. If you have any friends that know the game take them along just in case you need rules explained etc. Even if The All Blacks trounce you by 65points it will be a great spectacle.

That may be the most painful experience a US sports team will ever have to endure. In the last 20 years the All Blacks have won a staggering 85% of their games. They might just possibly be the best sports team in the world. To say the score will be an excess of 50-0 might be an understatement.
I can't see the US scoring a try. Maybe their kicker can get them on the scoreboard.

i remember watching one of the minnows at the 1999 World Cup play France. everytime the French fouled and gave away a scrum they were so dominant they won the ball back anyway.

the All Blacks v USA would be similar.

You guys dont seem to realise how far the US and Canada have come in the last ~5 years or so. Don't get me wrong, the ABs will beat them, but depending on how things go on the day it could be reasonably close (though ABs have a habit of sometimes putting 50 points on anyone, see NZ v Auz game from a couple of weeks ago).

Also not sure where you are getting your information from AoG, http://www.allblacks.com/fixtures/ says there is only a European tour. Have they included a game in the US?

Yep, something the All Blacks ( kiwi's ), Aussies and Lions are best at ;) Canada and the U.S. have other sports and should stick to them. I love Hockey ( the ice kind ) and it's great!!

No, I fully expect the ABs to destroy the US. I just want to watch the All Blacks in person.

Not sure what you mean, litteraly, cause i don t know what a minnow is; but i guess you re not talking about all blacks vs france, cause that year we made a fantastic comeback and qualified for the finals vs aussies (who kicked our ass)

Anyways, well done canada! We need more good teams in the rugby world. Argentina became the 9th rugby worthy nation these past decades, who s next?

minnow = small

it was one of the lower ranked nations that just didn't have the technical skill to beat the French at the scrums.

The Maoris are usually pretty awesome; i'd probably put them on par (slightly better?) with US/Canada so it'll a good game to go to.

The Maoris play pretty expansive rugby.

But yeah, bit crap its not the ABs.

Yeah, it makes it slightly closer but I still expect them to put a 20 point win up over the Americans.

if the Maori All Blacks were to play as an international team they would be ranked somewhere in the top 15 of all world teams, and just think they are New Zealand's third ranked team, 1st All Blacks, 2nd New Zealand A team, 3rd Maori All Blacks.

Eh you cant really "rank" the Maori team. The strength of the NZ Maoris is dependent on whos available to play. All the ABs who also qualify for the Maoris (you just have to have at least 1/32nd Maori in you by descent iirc) will seldom actually play for the Maori team since they'll usually be on AB duty. So it'll tend to be made up of old AB vets having a bit of fun + a bunch of super 15 players who cant quite make the ABs; however sometimes it will contain a whole bunch of ABs (I cant remember the last time this happened though).

I would say Canada (ranked 14th in the world) could probably get close to beating the Maori team, but the US (ranked 18th which is doubt is accurate, you guys have had a string of narrow losses against reasonably good opponents - Japan loss not withstating :P) would struggle.

Yeah I saw that. Its pretty uncommon for first string abs to play games for the maoris these days :(

Its an interesting team. They have some great players in there, but the depth isnt amazing. I stand by my prediction. Id back Canada to come close if not win; and the US not to get embarrassed (they are a very different team to 2006). Dont know if ts worth travelling for aog, but if you are nearby itll be a good game.
