I'm bored so I'll start it off and see who can solve this:
I am a being of three
Oh what would exist without me
I am shapeless and faceless
Yet I am far from nameless
Now what would those three names be?

I've heard this riddle before. I don't like the answer.

Its not a religious riddle if that's what you're thinking of... this is one that I wrote a few months back that stumped some of the best riddle masters on another site. So maybe you've heard of me.

Sorry you didn't like my riddle

I didn`t like it because it is based on an 8-year olds understanding of chemistry/physics and based on information that has been outdated by more than 100 years.
I like the one in your profile at Yahoo though, still trying to figure it out.

That actually was my basis on writing it... I just wanted to write it on the simplest "concepts" and "understandings" so it could sound bigger then what it really was.
I do appreciate the feed back

Thanks, I actually get a lot of emails on the one in my profile... I think you will die when you figure it out...
You know what I think I will post that one next:
I am the brightest of all,
twice as bright as the next.
If you look close enough I am actually two.
Who am I, and how is this possible?

Ok, so is the answer Sirius?
I was thinking the Sun was brighter (to us) but that one makes more sense, being binary (thanks wikipedia)

OOh cool I figured out how the quote thing works (I think)
You are correct the answer is Sirius aka Dog Star... kind of funny when you think about my user name (on Y!A)

I was thinking your name was in reference to the movie dog star man.
I don't write riddles, but I know some good ones:
My belly is round
And bound with iron bonds;
What I carry always raises a cheer.
Murder have I not done;
Stolen not; cheated not;
Yet a peg is beaten into my head.

Well depending on how long you have followed me you would know I'm a bit of a Norse Mythology buff... which is where I sort of picked up the nick name "Dog Star"...
I haven't heard that one in a long time... if my memory isn't failing me the answer to your riddle should be a barrel

Another riddle:
A man is trapped in a room. The room has only two possible exits: two doors. Through the first door there is a room constructed from magnifying glass. The blazing hot sun instantly fries anything or anyone that enters. Through the second door there is a fire-breathing dragon. How does the man escape?

I think the full answer is a wooden keg of beer.

Yes, although I get more of a cheer from a barrel full of trollops. A humongous barrel.

open both doors, magnifying glass then fries the dragon. close that door and proceed through past the dead dragon off scott free!
But im not much of a riddle man.
Unless you know the 'johnny whoops', shortest man in the world, Jack and Jill, what house am i in? sort of ones

Wait till nightfall was my answer, but killing a dragon does seem more fun if infinitely more dangerous.

Ok lets try:
Mother of horse, father of Hel.
Teller of lies but never in jail.
Bound to rock, tortured by snake
All because of a simple mistake.
Who am I?
