FLOODS, the thread.

There have been a few discussions here and there about Floods lately. Hell, if rugb' can have a thread... why not us
I've never actually participated in an actual "flood". Well, I take that back, there was this one time in Texarkana that I just remembered. (bear with my memory, I'm drinking stout) We were renovating an apartment complex, and had just completed several buildings when we had a torrential downpour. The complex was on the Arkansas side of the border, south side of town. There was a small creek which was actually a glorified drainage ditch behind the property. The portion of the property that ended up flooding was actually in a 100 year flood plain. Naturally, something downstream decided to block the creek, which soon became a raging river that rose and flooded the buildings we'd just completed. 3 buildings in all were affected. Was a mess. Floods cause a lot of heart ache and disaster, but they also provide work for many, which helps to stimulate the economy.
Will be at the pub bright and early tomorrow.
Bollocks.
